Dan came back to haunt Johnny to drive him crazy so that he couldn't kill Sally or hurt anyone else . I don't remember what he said (though he did have an aggressive English accent...) but I choose to believe that he was defending Sally's life as if it were his own. After all, he DID give up his own life so that she could live . Wasn't about to let Johnny make that worthless. Lucas was also in the dream briefly. He was on a bus with someone - might have been Geoff or Ric... I can't remember. All I know is he was there. You need to learn to have vivid, episode-like dreams.
