Bec's Poetic Love

From Sydney Confidential

July 25, 2005

BLUSHING bride Bec Cartwright declared her love for Lleyton with a verse at the pair's much publicised wedding reception.

Cartwright kept it a secret until the end of the speeches when she took the microphone to declare her love for her new husband.

The Daily Telegraph's Sydney Confidential today revealed the former Home and Away star's romantic dedication to her new husband.

Bec's poem

"I really don't know where to start

but I definitely know you've captured my heart,

It started that night you called me up,

to see if I'd play in the Starlight Cup

Way back then, little did we know,

That our love for one another could grow and grow,

A text message or two is what kept us in touch

And I want you to know that I love you so much

It wasn't'til late in 2004

That I received another phone call

When we decided to meet,

we went up the street for something to eat,

From that day on I've been by your side

And look at me now,

I am here as your bride!

I used to wish upon a star

that I'd meet the perfect husband

- and here you are!

You're an inspiration to so many including me,

Anyone whose ever met you can count

themselves lucky,

I'm so lucky I've found the one,

Being with you I have nothing but fun,

You are my best friend and my dream come true

And I'm so glad to be sharing all this with you

This is only the start of our dream together,

But I promise to love you until forever

I can't wait to start my life with you,

Just being together, our dreams will come true

I have no doubt I'm glad to be your wife,

And being with me is now a part of your life

I admire you for so many reasons,

I mean look at what happened at the Four Seasons!

We're about to experience the miracle of life,

but always remember I'm so proud to be your wife,

Having a family with you makes me so glad,

I know I'll never get sad,

Thanks so much for choosing me,

By sticking together we'll make a great family

Engaged and then married and now one on the way,

I'll take such good care of you every day,

It's safe to say I'll love you more and more

And marrying you today, I couldn't be more sure.

Rebecca Hewitt! I'm your wife!

I promise you one thing, stick with me and you'll have a bloody good life!"

Elizabeth Barret Browning, eat your heart out!!! :D

"I'm so lucky I've found the one,

Being with you I have so much fun."

That is genius, that is.

(I am so evil.....really, it is sweet. Really.)

To start with I thought that was a wind up...but..anyway...sweet in a sickly kind of way...very cheesy...a poet she isn't. I wonder who broke the confidentiality clause to let that one out of the bag. :P:P:lol:

Lleyton's love poem

Daily Telegraph

July 26, 2005

WE asked NEWS.com.au readers to suggest a poem for Lleyton Hewitt in reply to Bec's prose at their celebrity wedding last week.

Here is a compilation of some of the best lines from the hundreds of responses we received.

Lleyton's reply

(From NEWS.com.au readers)

My name's Leyton your name's Bec,

You're much hotter than Mrs Shrek,

The first time I saw your face,

I felt the same as when I landed my first ace.

When I saw you on Home & Away,

I just knew that it was my lucky day,

A beautiful, blonde, and talented chick,

When you smiled at me, it was fully sik.

Before I met you I had Kim,

She could bench more then me at the gym,

When our texting fingers got a revvin',

Our lives became a match made in heaven.

Who would have known a girl from Summer Bay,

Could come and steal my heart away,

I know some people might think we're mad,

But I know our love is no passing fad.

You are my sunshine, my life, my Bec,

You give me goosebumps in my neck,

Yes, I love you so very much,

Even before I came to the diner for lunch.

So sure I was that you were the one,

I got down on bended knee and yelled "C'mon!",

Vows have been exchanged so I'll never be gone,

At the birth of our child, I'll be screaming "C'mon".

Marrying you is a bigger thrill,

Than beating an Argie or Hearing the Fanatics at the hill,

Bec my sweetie, I need your lovin',

And also from that bun in your oven.

We are the Ken and Barbie of Australia,

I'm a champ so you know I won't fail ya,

Now a little Hewitt is on the way,

I will love you forever, and till the end of the day.

And if we ever go the way of Jen and Brad,

I'll be really, really, really, sad,

I just want to say - I sure love you, girl,

I'm so bloody glad that you gave me a whirl.

At this point in my life things couldn't get betterer,

That is until I can beat Roger Federer,

So my Bec, I raise my racquet to you,

Now lets go eat at Taronga Zoo.

It’s supposed to be cheesy though isn’t it? a bit tongue in cheek a bit of a joke, whilst getting the message across. I thought it made her seem pretty cute, and obviously you cant get away from her all over the press over here, but the more I’ve seen of her on TV other than as Hayley, the more she seems like a pretty cute, down to earth kinda chick – and a sweet hot bod and button nose. :D

I think too many of you are judging her negatively without really having any core negative information on/about her...and its the chicks mainly, typically...I’m the first to admit I don’t know girls way of thinking, but jealously maybe?
