June Reynolds - Rowena Wallace

Who would have liked June Reynolds to become a regular?

I really liked her character and her chemistry with Donald. 

I think she would work very well as a town matriarch as she seemed to interact well with all the characters.

Who agrees?

I would have loved that. Rowena worked really well with Norman and I loved Don and June's character arcs together.

Its funny to think both Alf and Donald have dated one of two Pat the rats.

I don't know Rowena as June but she was phenomenal as Patricia on Sons and Daughters. If there was ever an actress to step into the shoes of the Morag character, she would in my opinion do justice to the part.

I thought it was a shame when Don came back in 2007, June had left him and he mentioned how he had been helping Marilyn through breast cancer treatment? This was pretty bad writing considering Marilyn was living in London and may have been eligible for NHS treatment. Also Donald left to be with June in 2003, just seemed like he returned for a crappy storyline, as well as Sally and Brad's failed marriage.

I thought the way he returned, saying he had broken up with June was pretty crappy too.

And not really needed too, given he was only around for a few weeks. If Don was returning full-time, then yes, they'd need to break up Don and June, but it just seemed a bit weird they brought him back just to tell fans that he still never really got his happily-ever-after ending.

I definitely don't think that they needed to break him and June up. 

The producers could have had them still together and had Don still offer Marilyn emotional support with her treatment  over the phone or via letters and email.
