Casey doing what he had to do to protect his new family was intense !!! …….. and his laments about not having his brothers around is VERY understandable in uncertain times like these. Jen Posted January 18, 2014 Report Share Posted January 18, 2014 I have such a thing for dystopian societies, particularly ones where the kids have to run things. I like the combination of characters you've got. Casey being forced to take the lead, April more subdued - battling her own demons silently - and then Jett who's become Casey's right-hand man. You've managed to create a certain atmosphere - bleak, empty, reflective - in this fic. I like the little insights we get into how each of the characters are coping. I really feel for April, and adore the fact that it was Casey who realised what was going on, Darcy and Jett too young to understand. I'm really intrigued as to where you are going with this.
