James will play Lauren Kielmann, the daughter of miner Larry Knight, who was killed in the 2006 accident. She joins Shane Jacobson, Lachy Hulme and Steve Vizard in the cast of the series, which has already started filming. James met the real Lauren before she started filming and realises just how important it is to get the role right. "I don't think I realised how big a responsibility it was until I actually met Lauren and how important it was to do her justice," James said. "It's a big responsibility portraying a real person, but it's a huge reason why I do what I do; and I love what I do, being able to retell people's stories to the world." matticus01 Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Being from tasmania I really hope they do the Beaconsfield Mine Collapse Justice.... because it literally was a tragedy that happened, but its great to see Tessa is so compassionate and wanting to get the role perfect! I seriously hope the channel 9 writers dont mess this up!
