Its weird, you go all the way to Sydney, then sit on a bus for two hours, get off and then see literally hundreds of Irish people watching them film! Just shows how popular the show is here. Irish fans are crazy!Vanessa Downing who played Pippa from 88-90 said she stayed in a B&B in Ireland and when she woke up the following morning the whole village was waiting outside to see her!! Kate Ritchie went to New York one Christmas because she wanted some time away from the public eye and was accosted by Irish fans in the middle of her Christmas dinner. I remember Dieter Brummer did a signing in my city once and the police had to close whole streets in the city centre cos literally thousands of people had turned up! And its not just for the H&A cast we go crazy, SJP has said she might be selling her holiday home in Ireland because she cant deal with the intrusion here from the press and the public!!
