LOGIE BATTLE CAN'T SPLIT HOME MATES

Herald-Sun

26 April 2006

THE knives certainly aren't out among Home and Away's three Gold Logie nominees.

Former star Bec Hewitt and current castmates Ada Nicodemou and Kate Ritchie are the best of mates.

Nicodemou says there is no bitchiness -- they are all thrilled for each other and crack jokes about it.

"This morning we were doing a scene and I was waiting outside. Kate ran out and she just whispered something in my ear," she says. "I didn't understand what she said and then Tim, who plays (screen husband) Dan, goes, `I wonder what she said' and she goes `I said you'd better not win, bitch!'

"Everyone's having jokes about it because there's clearly no rivalry. Kate's one of my best mates, Bec's obviously one of my best mates."

Nicodemou's biggest concern on the night will be where she sits.

"I hope I'm on the same table as them," she says. "My fiance is coming and Kate's partner is coming."

LOL!

I can't BELIEVE Bec is nominated for a gold logie? What on EARTH did she do to deserve it? There's so much to choose from. Leaving her role before her contract was up, dumping her fiance for a rich famous guy, or singing *really* bad songs.

I really hope Kate wins though If Ada won I would still be happy.
