The logie- Award winner, who plays Tasha Andrews on channel 7’s Home and Away, is one of 10 Aussie’s to make Who magazine’s list of the most beautiful people for 2006. Judges, stunned by the 21 year old’s natural beauty, said she had no need for makeup for her photo shoot for the edition which will go on sale on Thursday. “Isabel reminds me of a young Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon – just stunning,” Who senior editor Karina Machado said. In a classic, cinderella-type tale, Lucas was a 17 year old school girl at the Port Douglas markets, in far north Queensland, when she caught the eye of agent Sharon Meissner. The chance encounter saw Lucas, from Cairns, signing with the Sydney-based Meissner, who encouraged her to hone her acting skills. After summer drama programs at the Queensland University of Technology and Victorian College of the Arts, she landed at Summer Bay. Within 2 years she had won a “best new talent” logie.
