When he came back as the good guy, Ric was the name that he used. I think he wanted to drop the bad-boy-persona that went along with 'Dalby,' though Henry still referred to him as this to begin with. Then he just announced one day that he'd been thinking about it, and "Ric" would be okay. "Dalby" was a bit impersonal with his family and new friends.
