  11. I could, but the ferry ride every day would get expensive. And I don't have a good camera. There's an idea Dan, send me a camera and a weekly wage and I'll take all the Summer Bay photos you want . Maybe even inappropriate ones, depending on how "cool" the actors are...
  12. Loved that. I probably would have ended it there. But then, to me, the story was about Robbie. To you I think it was about trying to solve the case, so it makes sense to end on the victory and lessons learned of the ones who solved it. To be honest, I was a little disappointed that, after all that, it was Josie. It seemed too obvious. But, having said that, you did throw up a lot of misleading clues to distract me from the most likely outcome, so it was a fun ride And hey, you got me to read an ongoing fic all the way to the end! That is quite an achievement. I don't even remember the last time that happened. You should be very proud
  13. Yep, I watched Ice Princess . It was kind of predictable, and the soundtrack was sickly sweet (although I do love "Toxic" by Britney Spears), but apart from that, I thought that "Dawn," "Claire," and "Samantha" delivered quite nicely . The skating was impressive, especially if all or most of it was the actors' doing. I'm just annoyed at Seven for only promoting Hayden. Heroes is popular, but Buffy and Sex and the City still have their devotees. Although Sex and the City may not be the best draw card for a family movie... Still, I think they missed a big opportunity with Michelle Trachtenburg - Seven aired Buffy, so it's a belated cross-promotion. Incidentally, I'm pretty sure the Harvard admissions guy was from Dexter, but I haven't confirmed that and it was hardly a big role in the movie . Just a bit of extra excitement for me.
  14. The title of this fic has never been so apt. Reading it has relieved some pain for me tonight... Sort of felt like a bit of a filler chapter, but that's okay. Sounds like the next - and final! - installment is going to be a ripper! Ending on number 13... ominous
  15. "Unicorn Mountain." It's generally about unicorns and condoms. Although they only mentioned the unicorns on the cover . It's... different. I like it, but I'm not sure anyone else in the world would . Not at all what I was expecting. I don't think I ever finished reading Looking for Alibrandi. I'm quite sure I hated it. I think the only book I actually enjoyed reading at school was The Hobbit. And yet, I still haven't gotten around to reading Lord of the Rings (and I didn't much care for the movies). Go figure. I'm aiming to make my way through the Chronicles of Narnia next. I've read The Magician's Nephew, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and The Horse and His Boy at different times before, but I thought it might be nice to read them all the way through and fill in the gaps as I go along. Or, failing that, I have some Stephen King books and a Terry Pratchett that I plan to look at. I'm on a reading kick. Because I really must start getting through all of these books that I own!
  16. Yuck. At least this is a self-inflicted agony. I don't have to be reading, but I feel like I should be reading so that I'm not so illiterate. My hope is that I will eventually get better and faster, and it won't take me weeks or months to read a 300 page novel It's not a bad book. I'm actually enjoying the story. It's just the act of reading. I find it so very, very mind numbing.
  17. Well there's me, but I'm attempting to read a book. Or in actual fact, avoiding attempting to read a book. Reading is slow and laborious... So I'm looking for a good distraction
  18. Adam Jacobson... That CAN'T be a coincidence! And if it is you're just cruel!! I thought when Robbie first took the morphine that it was to kill himself, but then you tricked me by killing Tasha and Josie, and then I didn't know what to think! But now I just think... aw . He needs hugs... and possibly other stuff to take his mind off things... I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but I LOVE the title
  19. Burn For You: http://backtothebay.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17883 It's not great, but it might keep you occupied until something better comes along

    All Saints

Aw man, I missed Dan trying to fight someone ? I went out and set a tape for it, and it was only once I was at my friend's house that I realised that All Saints is on at 9.30, not 10.30... How was Ricky? I got the feeling that she was suitably traumatized by what that guy did to her... I'm wondering if it will (or did) make her feel weird with Dan...?
  21. I think you need more exploration of the Henderson case . And you know, Kim is in town... But no, it was definitely a compliment. Just a very bitter one lol. Not for the story - It is an EXCELLENT fic. I love the gut-wrenchers. I'm actually a little jealous that I didn't write it myself . I'm just mad that you tricked me into reading it when I have a self-imposed ban on getting involved with unfinished fics!
  22. *Cries.* Damn you Eli. I kept seeing the link in your sig, thinking "Hmmm... that sounds interesting..." BUT I didn't click on it because I haven't been interested in reading fics lately. Then you go and post a new chapter precisely when I'm having a late night with nothing else to read but fic... and you go and make it a horribly depressing tale about Robbie, and him being in peril... kill off Ella, Tasha AND Josie... and now you go and drag "A.E. Jacobsen" into it!!! Of course I'll have to keep reading it now, even though I'm never in a fic reading mood... and even when I am, I don't like reading ongoing fics because I know how bad I am at finishing them, and I just plain don't trust anyone else to finish theirs... Damn you -__- PS. Henderson case???

    All Saints

Well, I'll deal with that when it happens. For now Bart is happy, so I am happy.

    All Saints

I wish they'd have taken out the Russel Crowe wannabe just to make a point, but alas. Dan was yelling a lot. Someone totally should have slapped him. Ricky... eh . I worry there'll be repercussions for her going through that... Bart was totally gorgeous. I'm glad the cancer hasn't spread
  25. This may be of some interest to you: http://backtothebay.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19206 It's old, and is about other things, but Jack/Sam is a pretty important pairing in it. It's not particularly positive, but at least I didn't HATE her back then . It's an interesting and elaborate story anyway. I like it.
