Thank you so much Red Ranger, Carina, Zetti, and Miranda . The next part (when it gets posted) is actually the last one. It's all I've got written for this fic. But the more I think about it, the more I want to write some further developments, in a post Don't Put Your Face Into Your Hands -verse. So, if I do write any more for this pairing it'll be a new fic, because I just have these (what I think are) awesome ideas. Some of them brought about by comments in this thread - See: Casey and Dex on the run together, Casey and Dex apocalypse fic, and Casey and Dex make out a lot but Dex swears his not gay fic. But thank you so much to all of you for commenting thus far, and for being so supportive, and jumping on board with this ship . Legends. All of you.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments .

Carina - Thank you very much. You are always so complimentary. I just heart Dex a lot, so I'm glad that comes through in the writing. Zetti - Internet superstardom is clearly Casey's priority () Thanks for the comment. Miranda - The Romeo/Casey backstory is something I felt the need to explain without delviong into new possible fic scenarios. I wanted for it to appear as canon to the show as possible. Hence, it's Casey that put the space between them (all Indi/Romeo/Ruby/Casey square aside), and Romeo doesn't really know why. Casey's reasoning is what you get here. Both characters have sort of got to that point where they can be candid with one another. Dex, under the influence, definitely loses that brain to mouth filter that normally prevents him from saying every little thing that pops into his head. Casey figures with Dex semi-drunk that he's not going to care ni the morning anyway. I always look forward to and enjoy reading your take on each of the parts . It always gives me something to think about. Red Ranger - Well, thank you very much. Hope you like the next part when it gets posted. Luc - I'm not gonna lie. I totally wrote this part because I wanted drunk!Dex . He's probably one of my favourite kind of Dex's, because it includes all his adorable social awkwardness and amplifies it. Also, I just figured he's get kind of handsy and grabby whilst drunk, and Casey has no idea what he's supposed to do. Dex is just an awkward turtle. JarlieFanEver - Thanks for reading .

PROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROMPROM Oh man, I adored this episode so much. It basically had everything I wanted in one episode. - Jesse being back to awesome self, and regretting what he did to Rachel and then being her date to prom. Rolling In The Deep as a duet and a capella was brilliant, and beautifully heartbreaking between Lea and Jonathan. I've missed them being on screen together. They obviously have wonderful chemistry. - Quinndependence. At least by the end of the night. It was so brilliant to see her just enjoying herself without worrying about Finn or Sam or Puck or any other boy. I also really liked the Quinn/Rachel bathroom scene, and oh, I'm not a Faberry shipper, but goodness, I can see why people are. All that tension, and the slap, and Rachel just taking it in her stride. Quinn revealing that she's insecure about what happens after high school is completely realistic, she's almost back 'at the top' and she's realising that it's not going to last. That's a daunting thing to come to terms with. - Puck/Artie bromance. And Artie only spiking the punch with lemonade . And then Friday with Sam, which I hate that song, but somehow I like it when they sing it. I don't understand how Glee makes me enjoy songs that I previously dispised. - The Santana/Brittany of it all. - Mercedes/Sam. Samcedes. I think I ship you two too. - So. Much. Kurt. And. Blaine. Kurt in a kilt. Blaine staring at Kurt in a kilt. Kurt's overwhelming excitement about asking Blaine to prom, at Breadstix, while on a date. And Blaine back story, and Kurt being willing to give up prom for Blaine. But Blaine is pretty much wrapped around Kurt's little finger, so he is always going to say yes. "I'm crazy about you." <3 So much love for these two. The Kurt/Blaine/Finn/Burt scene of awesome, in which Blaine is confused and intimidated and worried, but also willing to do anything so Kurt has a good time at his prom. And adorable dancing and Blaine performing and releasing his inner Link Larkin (I need Blaine to do a song from Hairspray like burning). Then, then then ... the Prom Queen reveal. I knew about the result prior to the episode because of twitter and tumblr and everything that sort of happened after that, but it was still shocking and heartbreaking at the same time, and didn't take anything away from the episode. I think the most heartbreaking bit was Blaine running after Kurt, out of the auditorium and into the hall. Tears welling up in my eyes at Kurt's face, and all the hurt, and pain, and humiliation, and thinking that people had changed. I'm so intrigued about who orchestrated the whole thing. Was it a Karofsky thing or another jock as a joke to have Kurt crowned? I want to know. Blaine is nowhere near perfect, he's not this knight in shining armour. He makes mistakes and embarrasses himself, but he is in love with Kurt and wants to everything to make sure Kurt is happy. He offers to leave, and offers his hand as soon as Kurt says he's going back in there. And Blaine has this look on hsi face when Kurt says he's going to be coronated, and it's just ... so beautiful. It's love and admiration and courage, and I'm a total mess the first time I watched it. - "Excuse me. May I have this dance?" All the parallels. With Kurt wanting to holds hands with someone he likes in the hall and slow dancing at his prom. Check and check. With Blaine taking Kurt's hand at Dalton on the staircase. And just everything being about them, and Blaine's eyes never leaving Kurt and Kurt still being weary, but then getting into it as Blaine speeds up the dance and just lets himself enjoy it. All the feelings in the world about that moment. Can I just say that I liked everything and leave it at that? Because I did. Only two episodes of season 2 to go. *sniffle*

Back into teaching, Starship DVD and Glee Prom episode in the space of one week. It's been a good week .

Yeah, I'm not the partying type either, so I know how Dex feels. Regardless of what Dex says, I'm sure his father telling him to be 'more normal' got to him, and affected Dex more that he's willing to admit. Thank you Luc! <3 Thank you for reading and liking, and I hope you enjoy the next part. (And I appreciate the variety in adjectives )

Puck plays guitar (acoustic) on Never Going Back Again, and (electric) on Go Your Own Way if that helps. And looks very smexy while doing so .

Don't Stop - Sam, Quinn, Finn & Rachel (+ New Directions) Dreams - Will & April Go Your Own Way - Rachel I Don't Want To Know - Quinn & Finn Never Going Back Again - Artie Songbird - Santana

*bounces* Oh, yay! You wrote a Dex centric story. Oh, Dex. You are practically a girl. But I still like you. Of course Dex owns a handkerchief. His mother always told him not to leave the house without one, just in case. It now comes in handy. Also, if any character was going to have a pocket watch, it would be Dex. Just saying. Dex has no idea how to react. The poor boy. I can just picture him being all awkward and not knowing what to do, but still wanting to help. No, you definitely can not leave a diagram unfinished. That is ludicrous. I adore that Dex uses his knowledge and logical thinking to plan out solutions to the problem with Ruby. And surprisingly, it helps. Truest words ever. This was awesome. I adored your characterisation of Dex, and how he handled Ruby in an emotionally fragile state. There was that line about how soft he found Ruby’s hair and I was silently praying to myself that Dex would get over that. Dex is not equipped to deal with someone like Ruby. Just, stay away Dex. Keep your innocence a bit longer. But as I’ve said, this was brilliant and definitely an interesting potential storyline idea. Sort of like they did with the Hayley/Kim/Scott babygate. Dex should just be in every fic ever written, in my opinion .

What? I'll stop reading shall I? I was asking for that, wasn't I? I'll offer amazing internet cookies if you stick it out to the end .

JarlieFanEver - Thank you for reading . Red Ranger - Thanks! I think there is this thing where both of them say things out loud before realising the implications of it. Dex is just a candid person, whereas Casey is just a bit more confident that he thinks he is. Miranda - Ha! Yes. Back to your regularly scheduled fic update. The role playing scene is one of my favourites -- It's also one of the first scenes I had in my head before I started writing this fic. So, there you go. It was all leading up to this point. It's all downhill from here! Zetti - <3 Oh, thank you for liking this part. Carina - *hearts* Thank you. Dex/Casey is happening slowly and surely. At least in this fic it is .

Here you go! Please save and upload yourself.

Hehe. Glad you liked. I wasn't expecting to write any more for this pairing, but then your prompt got me thinking and I just spurted that all out. Oops. I like your piece too. No, I wouldn't kill Heath. I very rarely do death in fics, because I just can't seem to write it. Initially I didn't have that little footnote, but then realised you might get confused. So, yeah. That's a little snippet that isn't actually part of the plot of this fic. So, you don't even have to read it. Heath is not dead. I know of it, but haven't seen it. Sounds like it definitely has ... possibilities. Is that the one where they drive off the edge of a canyon, or something? Thanks, Sarah! Just re-iterating, that isn't actually a chapter in this story. It's a little distraction if anything. So don't take it as part of the story. Just pretend it never happened.

Brilliant. A fitting hero . Wonderful, as usual. And a great ending. I'm glad Caseytooth is on the side of good, but I can't help and laugh at Indi/Casey versus Ruby/Romeo. Oh, I do. Don't worry . Thank you so much for writing this hilarious story. Although I may have not understood all the sci-fi references, it has been immensibly enjoyable. -
It has been a pleasure to read this fic. I certainly couldn't have predicted that ending. Gypsy/Miles is an interesting concept -- and with Lily, too, it's almost like he's getting a second chance. I like it. Rabbit, as always, is equal parts adorable and sassy. Miles isn't the only one who will miss her.

Yeah, I couldn't do that to *this* story. Although, now it's like I have a fanfic of a fanfic, which is just completely bizarre. But yes, I may or may not have ideas for planning a spinoff where the boys are running away together, and sleeping in abandonned warehouses and just focussing on not getting caught, until one night ... I don't know. I haven't planned any further.

You shouldn’t post prompts in my own fanfic thread, because then things like this happen . -- Casey looks up at Dex’s face, his wide eyes, pale skin, and God, is that blood? On Dex’s hands, he haphazardly attempts to wipe it off, onto his white school shirt. It seems to just spread, making it more obvious. Heath is lying motionless on the floor, liquid -- crimson -- pooling around his ear. And Casey feels his knees give way. He crumbles to the floor, letting his head rest back on the wall, eyes closed. “Oh God. Oh my God. Oh God. I’m s -- I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, God.” Dex is beginning to panic. Casey thinks he should be feeling something. Anything. But everything happened so fast. Casey spying Dex just inside his front door, as Heath dealt another blow to Casey’s cheek. It was hard, and there was a definite crack, but Casey refused to cry. He wasn’t a girl, he wouldn’t give Heath the satisfaction of knowing that it hurt, that this was affecting him. Heath was always giving him crap about “toughening up” and “not taking any sh*t”. If he saw any sign of weakness, then it would only fuel the fire. Something snapped, and as fast as Heath was to notice Dex standing there, Dex was just as swift. And the next thing Casey knows, Heath is on the floor and Dex is behind him, laptop cracked and held above his head. Now, the realisation of what has happened is hitting them both. Dex pacing, gripping onto his computer for dear life, while Casey forces his eyes open to see his panicked expression. “Dex.” “Oh God, I’m sorry.” “Dex!” “I’m sorry -- I just. I just --” “DEX!” Dex stalls, head snapping around to face Casey. There’s silence, the world standing still for a moment. An ironic sense of peace passing between them. “He was hurting you,” Dex says quietly, finally. “I know,” Casey replies. Against his better judgement, Casey sees Dex flick his eyes down to Heath. With just a simple glance, all remaining colour in Dex’s face seems to drain. “We should --“ He’s struggling now, the boy with a million and one quick quips, is at a loss for words. “-- Run.” “What? No, call someone.” “We have to go.” “-- Call the police --“ “-- We can’t stay --“ “-- An ambulance --“ “-- He’s dead, Dex.” “No, no no no. I didn’t mean to, I swear.” “I know that.” Casey slowly gets to his feet, on shaky legs. “But no one else does.” Heath is dead, and Dex -- accidental or not -- was the one who killed him. And they wouldn’t just have the police after them, but the rest of the River Boys too. Heath was influential, he knew a lot of people, and once they found out he was gone, well. Dex and Casey would be at the top of their hit list. “We have to go,” Casey says again, this time more urgently, as Dex makes no move to follow him as Casey steps around Heath and towards the door. “Dex, come on.” “What? No. No, I can’t.” He looks like a child, Casey sees. Dex is still gripping onto his laptop, knuckles impossibly white, clutching it tightly to his chest, a subconscious attempt to hide the stain -- the evidence. His eyes are wide, but blank, no flicker of recognition, and he’s staring at Casey, with this expression that makes Casey’s heart ache. He wants to fix it, to tell Dex that it’ll all be okay. But he can’t. So he does what he can. “We’re leaving, Dex,” Casey says, more forceful, reaching out and grabbing hold of Dex’s wrist. It fits into Casey’s palm easily, and Casey can see Dex suck in a short, quick breath. They are running and running, with Casey holding on to Dex, not looking back, not bothering to close the door behind them. At some point, Casey’s fingers move from Dex’s wrist to his hand, and their fingers interlock, grounding them to each other. Holding together the only thing that is still intact, while the rest of their worlds break and spiral out of control. -- EDIT: Just in case there is any confusion, this is an added bonus, not part of the actual story. *Sigh* These boys need to get out of my head.

Red Ranger - Thank you. Dex finally gets what he wants - viral success. Arguably, he's not a loser anymore - but it comes at a cost, I guess. I realisation that not all is well. No matter how it appears. Zetti - Wow. Thank you for saying that. I only wish the show would go down this road! Miranda - You'll see more of Dex's reaction in the next part. Sorry I made you emotional. *Hands Miranda cookies* JarlieFanEver - Thank you for reading. Luc - <3 I do try . Kidding. I wanted to fabricate so many video comments, seriously. HP references are just so ingrained that they happen without me realising it .

Yes, wouldn't it? But I don't think Indi's 'that kind of girl', she lacks confidence after all her boyfriends seem to go off with someone else. A chance missed. They also missed out on the 'who's baby is it?' storyline where Ruby could be pregnant and not know if the baby's Romeo's or Casey's. Probably too clicheed? Probably. I would like to think Indi is a bit classy for completely sleeping around, ala Ruby. But I guess that's what fic is for . -

I totally thought the show was actually going to do that after the Romeo/Ruby debacle. Revenge-sex would have been awesome. Sadly, it didn't pan out. Can't wait to see how you end this masterpiece! -
Aden_Belle - Thank you <3 Carina - You are always so complimentary. Thankies . LauraPhilly - I actually have a couple of set colourings in the program that I use, that seem to work well with H&A caps, so I tend to stick with those with very little variation. Hence, why they are all so similar. So, thanks for noticing, and for the sweet comment. Ariana_tithe - *blushes* Zetti - Thanks. Barbara - Wow. Thank you for going through those posts. I really appreciate it. Sabrina - Thank you, as always. Lise - *hearts* PSA: If you are going to use any of my icons/signatues, credit is appreciated. Also, do not hotlink. Upload the images to your own image hosting site, before using them on any forums etc. Most people do the right thing, and I really thank you for that. So if this doesn't apply to you, then just ignore.

Dexterrrr . I feel like every fic should include Dex in some capacity, and this was purely amazing. So true. Dex is so sensitive. Your characterisation of him is so good. I could read Dex's awkward interactions with everyone for days. Seems legit. Dex as an unlikely hero may just be my new favourite thing. It's so great, because everyone's reaction is sort of like, "Why Dex?" So great. Clutching my heart. Man, I wasn't ready for the heavy emotional stuff. But that one line really made me sit up and take notice. And then your explanation of Lucas moving around not really finding what he was looking for when everyone else seemed to have their lives sorted. It's a completely in-character thing to reason, and I totally feel like it could be true in canon as well. Lucas/Nicole has been a surprise pairing in this fic, but I'm totally on board with them now. Favourite part of the whole thing. I have a thing for Dex/Nicole in general -- Dex being her friend and maybe secretly being in love with her -- so this just hit all the right buttons. Because it was funny and touching and Dex is awesome, so yeah. So many bonus points right here.

Must. Pull. Mind. Out. Of. Gutter. Woah. That is insanely hot. I don't ... I'm just ... Currently incapable of being coherent. I guess that what happens when a bunch of hormonal teenagers/young people are superheroes and are in charge of saving all of civilisation -- There are chemicals, and they take over, and they are all in skintight lycra costumes, so things just get really heavy, really fast .
