Yes, I have got a bit carried away with the idea of Geoff and Aden riding off to the rescue. I like the idea so much that I may write a Western one day- I can just imagine those two as outlaw gunslingers, riding across the High Chaparral past the Blue Ridge Mountains to the wide Missouri, evading the sheriff and his posse Hmm... [thinks and imagines possible plots for this story...]

Once again, I want to say thank you to everyone for posting their appreciation on this thread . I have so enjoyed writing it. I am especially pleased with Skykat's comment that my fic is a little ray of sunshine, because that is what the fic has been to me during the current times of economising. I wish there were more comedy stories on this forum, although I admit I haven't read all of the ones currently being written, so maybe I've missed them. I chose Morag and Ross to be the Bennetts because their family with daughters seemed to fit better, as Geoff seemed to fit the dithering Mr Bingley better I shall keep you all in suspense as to what happens to Miss Charlotte and the dastardly Captain

Good evening. I find myself at the computing machine, while the servants do their work around me The next instalment follows forthwith

I must say dear ladies and gentlemen, I am excessively relieved that my last chapter worked. It has been the most difficult chapter so far, and fair had me swooning on the chaise longue calling for the smelling salts. Although perhaps this was due to the effect of the masterful Jefferies, whose 21st century character is not my favourite, but his 19th century version quite brings on palpitations But do you think I should start writing historical romances? I have enjoyed writing this so much that maybe I should do so. Forgot to add that the next episode will be added at the weekend as I probably won't be able to get to the computer til then
-
I think that scene was my favourite of all the story I wrote Yes, wouldn't he! MWAH HA HA HA!

Mr Ranger is very perceptive today He has obviously had the best of classical educations that his inheritance could provide
-
Good day, ladies and gentlemen, or may I venture to call you friends I am filled with pleasure that you are all enjoying my humble offering of a story I must say however, that I am amazed that no one has mentioned that Mr Fernandez is the illegitimate son of the dastardly Copeland. I wonder if this fact will be revealed upon the television at some point

Dear all. I just wanted to say that in my fiction, I have made the younger characters [Nicole, Ruby, Belle, Charlie, Annie, Martha, Aden, Geoff, Roman, Jai, Jack, Angelo] all aged between 17 and 21 so there is more likelihood of relationships being formed between them, so think of them all in the same age group I will be posting the next instalments at the weekend. Thanks again for the comments, I am so glad I am entertaining people

Dear ladies and gentlemen, I must thank you for your messages of support. I must admit that these short gloomy days with their strong winds and bitter cold have caused me to fall into melancholy and hopelessness, and your encouragement has brought about a distinct return to good cheer
-
Beneath his handlebar moustache Just imagine Roman with a moustache like that
-
Aw... thanks, and isn't it good timing. I am hanging around while my husband watches something boring on TV, so I will post a bit more just for you Mrs Baker
-
Its actually not as hard as I thought it would be I just think of the ponciest, most pretentious way to say something and translate what I want to say into that: e.g. 'What's wrong Belle?' asked Aden. would become 'Miss Belle, permit me to enquire after your health,' said Mr Jefferies. 'I have observed that you seem unnaturally quiet of late.' Or something like that. Once you get into writing this way, it is so funny and you get into the habit
-
I do know what you mean about men looking good in period costume, especially 19th century ones . I don't particularly like Aden, but he seemed the best candidate for Darcy, being quite snooty and sneering
-
Good day, ladies and gentlemen. I must apologise for my reticence in presenting the next episode of this story. I have been fully occupied with my tedious financial occupation, and family duties. I must also assure you that I do not object whatsoever to being called 'my dear,' it is a most agreeable form of address. The next episode of the drama follows forthwith.
-
Just realised that someone picked up on my comment about talking pretentiously  Dear ladies and gentlemen, I thank you most sincerely for your kind and thoughtful comments. I shall endeavour to provide you with delightful and humorous episodes in future
-
I'm so glad you like this story. I feared that people would think I was disrespecting the characters or something...! The only trouble with writing a story like this is that I can't stop writing or talking in this way, so, I am afraid, my dear posters, that my future posts may be somewhat long winded and pretentious
-
Thank you I hope it didn't spoil the OC.

Thank you QA. And I must say another big thank you for all the research you've done in the background for me Yes, I thought Leah deserved love and recognition, as she's been ignored for ages in Home and Away I thought at first that Ceri and Miles might compete for her attention, but Miles annoyed me so much by rejecting her that I left him to the tender mercies of Kirsty In this universe, Ceri has known Leah longer than Miles anyway, so he deserves her more! I don't know about a sequel though I thought this was the sequel I do have plans for a comedy story next though, to cheer us all up through the dark winter months... -
