Extended Summary

Mackenzie finishes her surf and rushes to gush to Levi about how well shaped the board is and how free she felt. Levi agrees it looked like she was flying. Mackenzie starts talking about cutbacks and Levi looks a bit bemused, prompting her to conclude that it’s like when he talks surgical to her. Levi says he’s just pleased to see her enjoying it.

At the Diner, Dana comments to Marilyn about Harper and Archie moving in with her, recalling the original plan was for them to live together and they had some detours, and Sonny has said the more the merrier. Marilyn is concerned to learn Harper’s been living in a motel with a baby. John, who has been listening in, wonders if Tane knows where Archie’s going to be living. Dana says she’s sure Harper will sort it and John backs off.

Harper gets a text from Dana saying “Ready when you are.” She comments on Kerrie dropping by unannounced. Kerrie asks if Archie is with Dana, wanting to see both of them. Harper says he’s with his father and Kerrie isn’t going to meet him today. Kerrie realises she jumped the gun but says she kept thinking about the photo of Archie that Harper sent her and wants to help. Harper gets another text from Dana, consisting of a string of emojis.

At Salt, Abigail is filling Eden in on Tane and Harper’s argument. Mackenzie and Levi come in and Mackenzie tells them talking about other people’s private lives isn’t part of their job. She sends them back to work but does tell Abigail that she loves the board; she’s going to thank Mali herself but Abigail should pass it on if she sees him. Levi congratulates Abigail on not giving anything away. Mackenzie suggests Levi get them a table on the balcony.

Marilyn comments that she thought Harper and Tane were getting on better. John says it’s not his place to say but he thinks Tane is right to be concerned about some of Harper’s decisions. Leah comes in and hears Marilyn mention Dana, asking if Sonny was with her. Alf sends John to put the flags out and asks Leah how she and Justin are. Leah says she hasn’t seen Justin in days.

Kerrie tries to get Harper to show her around. Harper says she’s tired and suggests Kerrie should start setting off back. Kerrie says she’s there now. Harper gets a call from Dana and answers it without saying who it’s from. Dana is waiting at the flat and suggests she drive round there so they can load Harper’s things into both cars. Harper declines. After she rings off, Kerrie realises she was talking to Dana, and that she’s been evasive about her because Dana doesn’t want to see her.

Levi and Mackenzie are sat on the balcony at Salt, Mackenzie notes she hasn’t done anything for Levi and they contemplate ways for her to thank him. Their kissing is interrupted by a slightly awkward Eden bringing their food over and then leaving. She comments to Abigail on how loved up they are. The sisters are happy for them if a bit grossed out. Abigail is relieved they’ve sorted thing out and Eden comments on all three of them being happy. She gets a call from David and tells him she’s at work but can talk and hopes it’s good news.

Harper says she hasn’t told Dana about Kerrie’s calls. Kerrie says she assumed Dana felt the same as Harper. She takes Harper’s hand and says her forgiving her has shown that miracles happen. Harper pulls away, saying she understands her better but hasn’t forgiven her yet, and isn’t sure Kerrie and Dana will reconnect like they have. Kerrie says she won’t give up hoping. Harper goes to make sure Dana doesn’t turn up, telling Kerrie to make herself comfy. It isn’t long after she’s gone that Kerrie grabs her bag and leaves.

Alf quizzes Leah about when Justin’s going to be back. Leah says he texted to say he’s working with Remi on the record label. Alf tells Marilyn he’s going to call Justin. Kerrie comes in, ordering a coffee and something she sees another customer having. She says she’s visiting her family and her daughter loves the place.

Upstairs, Harper is surprised to see Dana dressed for a lifesaving shift when she was meant to be helping her move in. Dana says that was hours ago and she thought she’d be settled by now. Harper claims it’s taking a long time to get organised and she had to arrange child care for tomorrow. Dana is bewildered that she hasn’t even brought any boxes with her. Harper says she’ll walk her to the surf club.

Kerrie is walking on the beach. John pulls up behind her in the buggy and they chat about the dangerous currents at the moment. Kerrie says the water’s beautiful and John suggests a walk to the light house. Kerrie suggests he’s an important person. John starts to say hardly before agreeing he makes a lot of vital decisions and offering her the grand tour.

Alf tells Marilyn he’s spoken to Justin who said they’ve barely spoken since Leah accused him of not caring about Theo. Leah comes up and Alf tries to get her to call Justin. Leah says she didn’t ask for his help. Alf leaves and Leah admits she feels bad now. Marilyn offers to cover the rest of the shift while she calls Justin. Leah agrees to Marilyn covering but instead leaves Sonny a message asking him to call her.

At the surf club, Harper checks that Dana is going to be on shift for a couple of hours. Dana adds that she’s going to check the safety gear for John afterwards. She also tells Harper where they’ve moved the spare key to but Harper isn’t sure if she’ll move in today. John arrives with Kerrie. Harper tries to usher her out but she and Dana see each other. Dana looks furious and Harper looks horrified. Meanwhile, Levi and Mackenzie are in the bedroom wearing hardly any clothes. Mackenzie notes that they’re stronger than ever and she’s ready to go again and have his baby. Levi’s passionate response suggests he agrees.

Harper chases after Dana, saying she didn’t know Kerrie was coming but did give her the address so she could send Archie a present. She says she didn’t tell Dana because she knew she’d be upset and angry. Dana isn’t happy about being lied to, telling Harper to forget moving in and forget she has a sister as well.
