Extended Summary

Bella finds Colby asleep in the chair next to her bed. She wakes him up and says she’s feeling better. Alex and Mason come in and check Bella slept well before saying they can start her immunisation catch-up that morning. Bella is shocked and tries to get out of it but they insist, with Mason offering her a lollipop. Near the beach, Mackenzie texts Colby for information. She finds Willow and asks if she’s heard anything from the hospital. Willow didn’t even know Bella was in hospital so decides to head down there. Mackenzie says to let her know.

Alf and Martha are walking in the caravan park. Alf complains about the difficulty in getting Roo and Ryder together. Martha suggests they make a special breakfast in order to lure them both out of their rooms. She notices Jade coming out of her caravan and says hello to her but Jade doesn’t respond. Alf reminds Martha she only saw them for a few seconds. After they’ve moved on, a man comes out of Jade’s caravan having clearly spent the night. Down on the beach, Leah has filled a delighted Marilyn in on the fact she’s moving in with Justin. Justin comes over, having been speaking to Ava on the phone, and notes that she’s excited about her new kitten.

Ryder has joined Alf and Roo for the breakfast and they ask about Jade. Roo also comes down and notes that she was up late celebrating the end of marking. Alf tries to bring up their news but struggles to get a word in edgeways. Leah and Justin come in and Leah assumes they’re celebrating. Alf says he hasn’t told them yet, before using the opening to announce Martha’s moving in. Later, Alf and Roo are at the table on their own, chatting. Roo notes it’s come out of the blue but also says it’s a dream come true. Ryder talks to Martha about Jade and she encourages him to go for it.

Mason has the injections prepared but sends the nurse on ahead while he reminds Alex that Bella lives with Grace. Alex agrees she should stay somewhere else for a couple of weeks. Mason tries to get her to tell Bella but she’s distracted by Willow’s arrival. Mason moves off and, after a brief flirty chat, Willow follows him, giving Bella a balloon and sweets. Mason explains about Bella not staying with Grace after the injections and Willow suggests she could stay with Irene but Bella refuses to leave Colby and says she won’t have the injections. Alex comes in as Willow announces Irene is okay with it. Bella still refuses but Alex says if she doesn’t have the injections then it won’t be safe for her to be around Grace anyway. Colby seems ready to give in to Bella but Willow steps in and orders to have the immunisations. Bella reluctantly agrees.

At Salt, Mackenzie sends Colby another text. She sees Jade, who explains she’s there to check her rota. Ryder comes in late and tries to give a spiel about Martha as an explanation but Mackenzie isn’t interested. Jade tells Ryder about going out to a bar and being impressed by the bartender. She suggests he go there with her and they decide to go that evening after work. Back at the caravan park house, Alf and Justin are boxing up Leah’s stuff as Martha mentions going to pack her things, refusing Alf’s offer of help. Justin notes there’s a lot of room at his with Raffy and Ava gone. In the corridor, Roo expresses her sadness that Leah is leaving. They join the others and Alf gives Leah a hug goodbye. Martha gives the couple some sandwiches and some champagne that Alf was saving.

Mason has finished the injections and gives Bella a lollipop. Alex checks on them before joining Willow, who suggests she take a break with her. Mason encourages them and they head to the lift, cautiously holding hands. Back at Salt, Ryder can tell Mackenzie’s waiting for a call from Colby and encourages her to call him. Colby and Bella are playing cards when his phone rings. Bella says if it’s Dean she wants to talk to him, then realises it’s Mackenzie. Mackenzie tells Ryder the call’s been declined. Willow joins Colby and Bella and offers to stay with Bella if Colby wants to go see Mackenzie. Bella claims she’s sick and Colby goes to get a nurse; Willow looks suspicious.

At the Diner, Martha is preparing to go back to her place to start on the packing, reiterating to Alf and Roo that she’s happy to move in stages. After Alf and Martha have gone, Roo and Marilyn comment on never seeing him like this. Roo is concerned it might not work out but Marilyn says they’re different people now. Meanwhile, Leah and Justin bring the last few boxes and suitcases into the house, having stored some in the garage. Justin checks Leah is okay moving in, then asks if she really wants to unpack now before carrying her into the bedroom.

On the Salt balcony, Willow chats to Dean on the phone, updating him about Bella. Mackenzie comes out and Willow updates her as well, saying Colby’s still at the hospital. Mackenzie worries they both hate her for accusing Bella of faking it and wants to go and apologise. Willow advises her to give them some space. At the hospital, Mason asks Alex when she and Willow are going to come out as a couple but Alex bluntly tells him it’s none of his business and to stop gossiping. Mackenzie goes to see Colby and Bella with a second balloon. Colby tries to suggest it’s not a good time. Bella says she’s allowed to refuse visitors and doesn’t want Mackenzie there.
