Extended Summary

Dean wants to shove the photos down Rick’s throat and Ziggy wants him to call him, reminding him that he’s on probation. Dean insists that he’ll fix it, telling her to worry about Ben. As she walks away, he types something on his phone. In the cell area, Colby tells Ben and Maggie they’ve chased down every lead they were given without finding anything and also interviewed Dean’s friend Scanlan who had no connection. He says Ben will be released today unless the AFP decide to charge him and asks for paperwork on the deal. Maggie goes off to find some and Colby convinces Ben to let him get some food.

Maggie is searching through papers when Ziggy comes home. She’s found a printout of the website and is looking for a quote. She admits Dean’s contact has been cleared. Ziggy tries to get her to admit Dean wasn’t involved but Maggie snaps that she doesn’t have time. Meanwhile, Dean meets Rick by the beach and realises he set the whole thing up. Rick says that Dean has to stay away from the media. Dean realises he’s threatening to go to the police and notes Rick doesn’t know him, daring him to do his worst.

Outside the Diner, Alf and Marilyn chat about what’s happened with Ben. Marilyn also thinks the police handled things badly taking Robbo and Jasmine away from the wedding and says Raffy’s worried about Tori. Leah and Justin appear and Justin admits he’s had no news. At the police station, Colby joins Ben and Maggie in the interview room but tells them none of the documents are original: The business hasn’t been registered and the website has been taken down. He asks Ben for details of the deposit so they can check bank details. Ben admits he was told he could pay on completion and didn’t know how it worked. Colby goes to report this to the AFP.

Colby and Mackenzie encounter each other when they both park near the surf club. Mackenzie comments on them running into each other as soon as she gets back in town. Colby isn’t entirely friendly and advises her to talk to Dean. Mackenzie heads inside, passing an outside table where Dean and Ziggy are sitting. Ziggy is frustrated that Dean told Rick to get stuffed, saying he was supposed to fix it. Alf tries to intervene in the argument, moments before Colby arrives to deliver a court order closing down the board shop: The AFP have frozen the accounts.

Colby says the only way to get it reversed is to get a lawyer. Ziggy continues to be frustrated with Dean and Colby offers to give her a lift back to the station. Justin appears and tries to get an update from Colby but Colby snaps he’s told Justin everything he knows. Mackenzie calls down to Dean from the balcony, inviting him up for a beer.

At the Diner, Marilyn and Leah discuss Tori’s absence with Marilyn saying that Robbo will look after her. Justin enters, frustrated at Colby not answering his calls. Leah and Marilyn convince him to go for a walk. At the police station, Colby shows Ziggy in to see Ben and Maggie. She tells them she knows the police don’t have any leads. Colby comes in and tells them the AFP have decided to proceed with charges against Ben. Ziggy mentions Dean’s in trouble as well.

Up in Salt, Mackenzie tells Dean she wishes she’d been there to see him hit Rick. She dismisses the idea of Rick using it against him, saying Rick’s desperate and soon his political career will be over. Dean gets a text and abruptly leaves, meeting Ziggy near the beach. Ziggy tells him about Ben being charged and says Ben can’t do anything to help his situation but Dean can, by giving Rick what he wants. Dean is annoyed, asking how it’s her business. Ziggy shouts that she loves him before walking away.

Shortly after, Maggie and Ziggy look on as Ben’s fingerprints are taken and Colby announces the charges, saying he’ll be held in custody until he can see a magistrate. Meanwhile, Dean meets up with Rick and says if Rick wipes the photos and destroys all copies he’ll play by his rules. Rick says he not only wants Dean to stay away from the media but also from Mackenzie. Dean sullenly agrees.

Dean goes to see Ziggy at the farm house and tells her he spoke to Rick and agreed to his terms. Ziggy is shocked that they include staying away from Mackenzie but Dean says it’s done. He also says that what she said before goes both ways. With a bit of prompting, he says he loves her too. Meanwhile, Colby goes to Salt looking for Dean. Mackenzie continues to be dismissive about the idea of Dean getting into trouble, thinking Rick’s bluffing. Colby tells her that Dean’s on probation and could go to jail. Mackenzie says she didn’t know. Colby says she does now, so stop encouraging bad decisions.

Leah and Justin walk on the beach. Justin admits he acted like a tool towards Colby but the situation is bringing back bad memories: Before, they were together and he could look out for Tori. Leah assures him Robbo will do that. At the police station, Colby gets a call from Mackenzie. Before he can decide whether or not to answer it, Rick turns up saying he wants to make a statement. He says Mackenzie stole $80,000 from his bank account and he wants her arrested.
