Extended Summary

Hunter and Christina wake up together at the motel. Christina thinks they should get going but Hunter wants to stay. He offers to go and get coffee and Christina tells him to get some food as well. After Hunter has dressed and left, Christina’s phone rings. She puts a robe on and checks it, seeing she has three messages from someone called Tony. She rings someone, presumably Tony, to say she had drinks after work and crashed on Erin’s couch, and she’ll see him at home. When Hunter returns with the coffee, Christina is dressed. Hunter was hoping they could have breakfast in bed but Christina says they need to get on with his assignment.

Raffy and Ty are walking to the Diner where Ty is due to have breakfast with Jodi for the first time. Ty admits that he hasn’t told her about being gay yet and is worried she won’t accept it. Raffy tries to assure him that it’s not such a big deal. Soon after, John and Marilyn join the trio at the Diner. They comment on the fact Ty has been showing Jodi the sights in the Bay over the last week. Jodi has to leave the table to answer a phone call and the others discuss the fact they like her. Jodi returns and says there’s two people off sick at work: She has to be back there tomorrow rather than staying to the end of the week as planned.

Alf runs into Hunter near the beach and sarcastically notes that he’s alive, saying he can sleep wherever he likes but Leah worries. He thinks Hunter’s down about Olivia but Hunter says he’s happy for her. Alf sees Christina approaching and, apparently picking up on the vibe, says he hopes Hunter knows what he’s doing. Shortly after, Hunter is putting Christina through a training schedule on the beach. Mason approaches and briefly chats to Hunter: Although Hunter doesn’t say anything, Mason realises something has happened. After he’s gone, Christina anxiously asks what he said. Hunter kisses her but Christina says she should go. Hunter can see something’s bothering her but Christina leaves.

John and Marilyn ask Jodi about her job. She says it’s just admin and secretarial work, but she’s had it for four years and it’s let her get her own place, with a spare room. John and Marilyn insist on paying, saying Jodi can come again and pay then. Ty asks to walk her out. Shortly after, the two of them are on the wharf. Jodi senses Ty wants to say something. Ty says he hopes it doesn’t change anything: He’s gay. Jodi looks shocked but says she’s only disappointed in herself, that she didn’t know. Ty says he’s only just come out to John and Marilyn, who were amazing. Jodi assures him it hasn’t changed how she feels about him and hugs him.

John is pacing at home while unsuccessfully trying to ring Ty. Raffy wryly suggests that he turned his phone off so no-one would interrupt him coming out to his mother. John is about to go and look for him when Ty returns and says his phone’s charging in his room. He tells John and Marilyn that Jodi was fine with it and he wishes she didn’t have to go. John invites him to the surf club with him. As they walk, John says it’s okay to miss Jodi. Ty says he’s worried she’ll disappear again.

Raffy goes to see Mason at the gym, saying things are a bit weird with John and Marilyn. Mason suggests she just wants to hang out with her favourite brother and Raffy says Brody was busy. Mason tells her to pick up towels as “punishment” and tells her he got good exam results. He then gets a text from Dempsey asking to meet up while Raffy gets a call from John. Not too far away, Hunter chases after Christina. She tells him to concentrate on his assignment but he says she’s more important. He says they didn’t do anything wrong but Christina corrects him: He didn’t do anything wrong. She says things have escalated. Hunter says he’s going back to the hotel room and asks her to join him. Christina walks away.

Jodi goes round to see John and Marilyn, who have invited her over, having sent Ty off with Raffy. They tell her about Ty’s worries and wonder what her plans are. Jodi insists she’s not going to lose Ty again and says she wasn’t going to bring it up too soon but she wants Ty to live with her. Meanwhile, Raffy and Ty are at the Diner where she brings him a dessert with two spoons, Hunter is getting dressed up at the motel room and Mason is trying on shirts at home. Christina turns up at the motel and tells Hunter she nearly didn’t come. She says she needs to tell him something but Hunter interrupts and says he’s never felt the way he does about anyone before. Christina says he’s what she wants and they kiss passionately.

A while later, they are in bed together when there is a knocking on the door and a man calling out to Christina. Christina says it’s her husband and tells Hunter to get dressed. However, he is in his boxers and she’s in a robe when Tony bursts in. Tony tells Hunter to get out; he checks with Christina who agrees. As Hunter leaves, he hears them arguing: Christina is saying they couldn’t have gone on as they were and Tony is telling her not to blame him. Meanwhile, Mason lets Dempsey into the house. He offers her wine but she says she’s not drinking at the moment so he gets her a glass of water. She tells him she’s pregnant and it’s his.
