Raffy deals with the fallout from her kiss. Leah teaches Ryder an important lesson about consent. Can Colby and Jasmine salvage their friendship?

Extended Summary

Colby and Jasmine run into each other near the Diner and exchange very awkward pleasantries. Jasmine sees Leah watching and tells her not to ask. Marilyn bustles past, telling Leah she needs to duck home. Back at the Palmer house, Justin is incensed and tells Raffy to pack her bags since she’s coming home. Raffy protests that she is home while John insists he had no idea what was going on. Marilyn arrives and John explains they caught Raffy and Ty kissing. John and Marilyn both try to argue against Raffy moving out but Justin is insistent.

Brody is on the phone to someone (probably Ziggy) saying he’s trying out a new recipe when he’s actually eating cereal. Justin and Raffy turn up and Justin tries to make out nothing’s happened despite Raffy being laden down with bags. Raffy says Justin’s ruined the biggest moment of her life and storms into her room. Justin explains to Brody, who thinks there was a better way. Down on the beach, Dean is telling Willow a story about Taz climbing an electric fence. They run into Colby, who asks if it’s true they’re together and, in a friendly manner, says he thought they would have learned. Dean says now they need to find someone for Colby so they can double date and Colby says he’s happy for Dean.

Alf finds Ryder outside the surf club and wonders why he’s looking so smug. Ryder mentions posting a video on Leah’s website. At the Diner, Roo turns up to see Leah, bringing news of Maggie. Leah is getting lots of notifications about new messages on her website but says she’s decided to ignore them…although she doesn’t stop Roo having a look. Roo says they’re mostly positive and about the new video. Leah is confused, since she hasn’t posted one.

Colby and Jasmine run into each other down at Salt and Jasmine comments on them meeting twice in one day. Colby says he hasn’t been avoiding her. Jasmine says it was best that they broke up because they wanted different things but thinks that they should be friends. She suggests they get a drink and Colby changes it to getting something to eat. Later, Colby offers to pay but Jasmine insists they split it and makes jokes about how much either of them has ate.

John and Marilyn quiz Ty, who insists the kiss was just a heat of the moment thing. All of them are worried it will affect the fostering. After Ty has left the room, John wonders if their arguing was a smokescreen but Marilyn doesn’t think so. Marilyn goes round to see Justin and Brody. She tries to downplay the incident, as does Brody, but Justin doesn’t entirely trust Ty and isn’t keen on the idea of Raffy sharing with a teenage boy. Marilyn tries to argue against moving her out of the house but Justin can’t see an alternative. Raffy is listening in and looks upset.

Leah looks at the video that has popped up on her site, telling Roo she didn’t post it. Alf brings Ryder over and Ryder shows them the video on his phone, explaining he posted it and then shared it to direct traffic to her site. Leah is not impressed. Meanwhile, John and Marilyn update Ty on the situation with Raffy. Justin and Brody also talk it over; Brody thinks it was harmless and they should trust Raffy but Justin insists she can’t have a boyfriend. Raffy texts Ty asking him to meet her.

Willow and Dean come into Salt and run into Colby at the bar. Dean manages to get a drink off him but Colby says he’s there with a friend, nodding to Jasmine. Dean convinces Willow they should join them; Colby is rather thrown but insists they’re not on a date. He tries to buy takeaway for the pair so they’ll leave but Jasmine is fine with them staying. Shortly after, the four of them are in the Diner flat with Dean telling a story about Colby picking a fight while drunk. Colby denies it and Willow refuses to confirm or deny. Colby starts to tell a story about Dean getting home from a dance and Dean quickly admits he exaggerated.

Raffy and Ty meet up near the beach. Raffy wasn’t sure if Ty would come. Ty tells her about how it might mess up John and Marilyn’s fostering while Raffy isn’t happy about having to move out. They admit it was the first kiss for both of them and kiss again. When Raffy returns home, she is met by Brody, who tells her she’s lucky he wasn’t Justin, who doesn’t trust her already. He asks if she’s serious about Ty and Raffy admits it’s early days. Brody points out that if she moved back in then no-one would mind them dating but Raffy says she made her choice and John and Marilyn’s place feels like home. Brody agrees to talk to Justin.

Next morning, Roo chats to Leah at the Diner before going to do some work. Ryder comes in and apologises to Leah who tells him she wants his help with a new vlog…about privacy and consent. Meanwhile, Brody is telling Justin that he needs to give Raffy space to grow up. Justin takes Raffy round to the Palmers’ where he, John and Marilyn talk to the two teens. Ty is officially fostered and won’t have to leave; Justin adds that Raffy won’t either if she doesn’t want to. However, there’s to be no repeat of the behaviour: They’ll be supervised all the time and not allowed in each other’s bedrooms.

Jasmine meets Colby outside his flat with coffee. As they go for a walk, a delivery man drops off a stack of papers: The front page is a photo of Colby with a headline about a local cop being a gang member. At Salt, Brody is assuring Justin he did the right thing until they notice everyone engrossed in their papers and see the headline. At the Diner, Alf and John have seen it too. Leah tries to suggest it might not be right, but when Colby and Jasmine come in they ask him if it’s true…
