Extended Summary

Mason discovers that Justin and Willow slept together. Mason warns Justin about getting too involved, that girl is nothing but trouble. Justin pays Willow a visit at the gym, wanting to see where things stand between them, and to make sure that everything is okay. Willow is bemused by his behaviour. Later, Willow questions Mason about Justin, worried that they’re not on the same page. Mason fills Willow in about Justin’s past, saying his heart has been put through the wringer lately, and that casual isn’t really his style. Willow’s suspicions are confirmed. Justin pays Willow a visit in her van, explaining that he doesn’t do casual and she doesn’t do relationships, so where does that leave them? They wonder if there’s any sort of arrangement that they can come to. They then proceed to make out and sleep together again.

Hunter picks up on Olivia’s strange behaviour and questions whether anything is wrong besides the anxiousness of waiting to hear back from Axel about her contract. Olivia continually brushes Hunter off and pushes him away, feeling even more guilt-ridden by his kindness and support. Hunter gently presses Olivia to open up to him, and she comes close to confessing, but can’t bring herself to go through with it. Olivia rushes home to be alone and struggles to hold it together. Meanwhile, Hunter is showing Mason an engagement ring in a catalogue, convinced that now is the perfect time to start planning a proposal, since Olivia is down and it will lift her spirits. Axel pays Olivia a visit to deliver the good news – The Find are giving her a second chance. Olivia finds herself overwhelmed, and unsure whether it is a good idea to continue working closely with Axel. As Hunter returns home and Axel shares the good news with him, Olivia feels pressured into immediately saying yes, in order to cover the reason for her apprehension. Axel and Olivia work on her new designs together. Axel is upbeat and friendly, while Olivia is uncomfortable and still unsure about her decision. Olivia snaps when Axel touches her hand, and says she can’t do this any more. Axel insists she is just overreacting. Olivia blurts out that they slept together right as Irene returns home and overhears. Irene demands that Olivia tells her what is going on, but Olivia refuses to admit the truth and shuts Irene out.

Tori and Ash are heading to breakfast together, all loved up, when John questions whether or not they heard about the police raid on the pier apartment the day before. Worried, Ash bails on Tori to rush upstairs and check on Kat. Tori vents her frustrations to Justin, bothered by how quickly Ash is willing to just drop everything for Kat. Tori awkwardly waits, while Ash talks to Kat on the phone and discovers that she has taken a few days off to go up the coast with Robbo. Ash pays a visit to the station, asking after Kat, and discovers (from Murray) that Kat has been suspended. Ash presses Murray for information about Robbo’s involvement in the Novak investigation. Ash uses the key he still has to snoop around the pier apartment, looking for evidence against Robbo. Tori catches Ash in the apartment, but as he tries to explain himself, she exclaims that it’s too much. He is obsessed with Robbo, and she can’t take it any longer.
