Kat decides to testify in the corruption case. Diana makes a shock revelation to Ben, helping them mend their bridges. John convinces Roo that Ryder is using drugs.
Extended Summary
After his fall, Ryder is alright. Alf and Roo try to understand what has happened. Has Ryder done this before? Roo insists that Ryder should see a doctor in the morning.
The Astonis go to breakfast with Diana. Ben and Maggie try and find the moment to tell her she has to leave. Coco’s parents sense that Diana is acting strange and catch on to the fact that Diana may have heard their conversation last night.
Over breakfast, Olivia is ignoring Hunter, she’s focused on sorting out her meeting with Axel, the man from the company who stole her designs.
McCarthy arrives at Kat’s apartment to inform her that another witness has been killed in the corruption case. Kat is stunned, does this mean that Kat needs to testify? This news doesn’t impress Robbo.
Kat and Robbo debate the trial. Robbo is worried about Kat and the baby. He doesn’t want her to testify. Kat makes it clear that it’s not his decision to make and he storms off.
Roo comes to the Pier Diner to question Coco and Raffy about Ryder’s behaviour. She then moves over to John and Marilyn to continue. They’re all concerned about what might be wrong with Ryder. Could it be drugs?
On his way to work Ben discovers Diana, on the beach, upset. Ben finds out that Diana knows they want her out. Diana reveals the reason she’s so upset. This is exactly what happened with Richard, Maggie’s father. She is humiliated by the whole situation, which is exasperating her loneliness.
Robbo returns to Kat’s to apologise. Kat feels that it is her responsibility to testify, but the baby is getting in her way. Robbo pleads with her not to and she finally agrees.
Ben and Maggie head to the surf club to continue their chat. Diana tells him that she didn’t marry for love. Ben and Maggie are lucky that their marriage worked out. This is the first time the two have really taken time to get to know each other.
John and Marilyn attempt to advise Roo what to do with Ryder. John pushes Roo to search through Ryder’s belongings. She’s hesitant at first, but agrees. Back at Summer Bay house, Alf and Ryder return to find Roo searching through a bag. Roo asks Ryder point blank if he is on drugs.
Over at the Pier, Ryder chats with Coco and Raffy. They’re a little concerned about him. Raffy forcefully tells Ryder that he needs to sort himself out. He heads home, and reconciles with Roo and Alf.
The Astonis meet for dinner. Maggie has just got off the phone with her father. Maggie tells Diana that Maggie’s father is getting married to his girlfriend. This hits Diana hard and she decides it’s time for her to leave. Ben insists that she should stay, which impresses Maggie.
Robbo arrives to Kat’s and find that she has agreed to testify in the case. Robbo is not happy about this. He’s concerned about the baby. Meanwhile, at an unknown location, Novak receives a call to take Kat out.
