Extended Summary

Olivia is dropped off in front of Hunter near the surf club by a chauffeur. She has adopted a more sophisticated dress style during her time away and has also brought back a suitcase full of samples. She is enthusiastic about the trip, saying Axel introduced her to a lot of people. Meanwhile, Ryder, Raffy and Coco are watching the film and Ryder nudges Raffy playfully. Justin, who has just come home, sneaks up on them and then turns the light on. Ryder tells him about the beer he brought and, after getting confirmation he’s seventeen, Justin says he won’t ask where he got them but to never do it again. He goes to his room but warns them he could come out at any time. The girls go to get snacks and comment on Ryder cracking onto them. Coco asks Raffy if she likes him and Raffy says he’s cool. Raffy returns the question and Coco says not at all. They go back to the sofa where Raffy cuddles up to Ryder.

Tori tries to talk Ash out of leaving but he doesn’t think he has a choice. Tori says he’s got support in Summer Bay and that he’d be taking Luc away from Irene, Leah and VJ. She also refers to herself as his girlfriend, a description that Ash considers ironic in the circumstances. Tori points out that Luc is tired and Ash puts her down but says he’s going to leave first thing in the morning. Tori tries to argue that there’s no chance of Mick getting custody but Ash replies that they all thought he’d never get out of the psychiatric facility either. He says that Mick knows he has rights now he’s proved he’s the father and the legal system’s screwed up.

The teens finish watching the movie and Raffy complains that the ending was lame. Justin comes out as Ryder tries to put another horror film on but Raffy prefers a rom-com. Coco decides to head home. Justin offers to see her safely but she says she’ll meet Ben at the Diner. After she’s gone, Justin makes a point of sitting between Raffy and Ryder to watch the movie with them. Back at the farm house, Coco retrieves a stash of food. Maggie comes in and sees what’s going on. Coco looks teary and Maggie hugs her.

Next morning, Tori comes home and Justin notes she’s still wearing the same clothes as the previous day. Tori confirms she was at Ash’s but is less than happy. She tells Justin about Ash wanting to leave town because he’s worried about Mick getting custody. She also reveals Ash asked her to go with him. Later, Justin angrily confronts Ash about the plan, saying he spent eight years on the run and knows what it’s like to look over your shoulder all the time. He doesn’t think it’s any life for Luc and thinks he should stay where he has support.

Hunter is surprised to see Olivia dressed up since he thought they were going to the beach. Olivia says she’s meeting with Axel to show him her designs and discuss which of her dresses to put on the market first. Hunter is suspicious about how she can do that without a contract and Olivia admits she signed it without any alterations, saying Axel explained it’s standard for rookies. She goes to Salt and shows Axel the designs, which impress him. Hunter turns up and Olivia introduces him and Axel to each other. However, when Hunter tries to question Axel, Olivia pointedly shuts him down and sends him away. Axel doesn’t seem too impressed with Hunter.

Maggie shows Raffy in to see Coco and leaves them both to it. Raffy knows that something’s up. Coco slowly and awkwardly tells Raffy about her bulimia. Raffy is sympathetic and says Coco can come to her. Coco admits she felt like doing it again. When Raffy pushes her, she reluctantly admits that she actually does like Ryder. Later, Raffy talks to Tori about it at the Diner. Tori says she shouldn’t feel bad for not noticing and should just be there for Raffy. Ryder approaches and quickly identifies Tori, saying she’s got the same hot genes as Raffy. Raffy abruptly leaves after making it clear to Ryder that they’re not “a thing”.

Raffy goes back to see Coco and they manage to put aside some of their awkwardness. Coco says she’s been considering organising a glow day, an event for celebrating being a girl whatever you look like. Raffy thinks it’s a good idea and says if they work on it together then they can get it done next week. She also adds that she’s made it clear to Ryder that they’re not together so he’s all Coco’s. Coco gets a text from Ryder but says he’s not that great anyway. Meanwhile, Ash and Tori have met up. Tori says that she understands Luc has to come first and why Ash wants to get away but she can’t go with him. Ash tells her that he loves her and she reciprocates. He says he’s going to stay and try to fight Mick but will leave if it doesn’t work.

Olivia is ready to end the meeting but Axel gets her some champagne first and she drinks a toast to his support. She asks why he isn’t a designer. Axel says he studied fashion but majored in business since that’s where the money is and he hopes to have his own business one day. Olivia agrees, saying she wants her own label. She heads home, where she is happy to discard her heels. She tells Hunter that Axel is getting her the material to put together an order of dresses. Hunter reminds her they talked about her getting paid up front. Olivia says that Axel told her they should sell quickly and asks Hunter to trust her.

Justin is working alone at the garage when a young woman, Willow, roars up on a motorbike. Apparently liking what he sees, Justin asks if he can help her. Willow responds by hitting him in the stomach with her motorcycle helmet before asking where her money is…
