Extended Summary

A dejected Ash moves into his van, pouring a stiff drink. Kat joins him, immediately clocking his mood. He tells her about Simmo’s threat, to expose their relationship – he has photographic proof. Kat’s beside herself, tearing up the photos. Later they talk, trying to work out what to do. Kat thinks she’s going to have to come clean to prevent Ash from having to rebirth cars for Simmo, and is distraught over the thought of losing her job. Ash tells her that’s not going to happen, this is his mess and he’s going to sort it out. When Simmo arrives at the garage trying to intimidate, Ash head butts him, knocking him out. Next thing Simmo knows, Ash is dragging him out of a car boot in the middle of nowhere. The two men tussle, threatening each other, both trying to get the upper hand. It seems as though Ash has succeeded but Simmo hasn’t finished with him.

Raffy’s happy when Hope returns, Phoebe less so. Phoebe welcomes her, but when Hope hits her up for a job at Salt, Phoebe tells Justin that he needs to find somewhere else for them to live, she can’t work and live with Hope. Justin tries to persuade Hope to tell Raffy that she’s a Morgan but Hope point blank refuses, despite Justin’s warning that the truth always comes out, and Raffy will hate them if she realises they hid it from her.

Raffy’s giving Justin the cold shoulder after Hope warned her off the Morgans. When Kat tries to talk to her, Raffy pushes her away too. Kat tells her that the Morgans have been nothing but nice to her, Hope’s the one messing her around, not them. Raffy tries to get the truth out of Hope, but she denies everything, leaving Raffy wondering.

Kat and Phoebe talk about Hope, wondering why Justin and Brody have forgiven and employed her. Phoebe admits that Hope does seem to be trying this time. But once Phoebe’s out of sight, Hope takes money from the till.

Ash tells Kat that everything’s sorted with Simmo, but we cut to him meddling with Billie’s car, right before Billie and VJ get into it, busy talking about Leah. Billie’s worried that Leah isn’t getting involved with the wedding planning. When VJ goes to put his ‘L’ plate on the front of the car, he sees fluid on the ground. At the garage, Ash checks the car, and he’s distressed as he tells Justin that the brake line has been cut. He’s just told Justin that he’s going to take care of the problem when he gets another message from Simmo who wants to ‘chat’. Ash tells him he’s a dead man.

Billie talks to Leah, asking whether she has a problem with her marrying VJ. Leah is worried that they’re rushing into it, but Billie reassures Leah that she’s fully committed to VJ and Leah gives her support.

Ash goes to meet Simmo, ready to take him on, but a couple of thugs appear and lay into Ash, beating him badly. Will he come out of this alive?
