Extended Summary

Hope tells Raffy they may be able to get their own place soon, but Raffy isn’t convinced. She tries again, unsuccessfully, to get Hope to talk about why she warned her off the Morgans. After Hope goes to work, Raffy catches sight of Tori and follows her to the diner. She doesn’t notice Ash lying in the bushes. Is he alive…?

Hope isn’t rostered on to work and Phoebe tries to turn her away, but is irritated when Brody overrules her and tells Hope to start setting up. Phoebe notices that the till is down by two-hundred and fifty dollars but Brody doesn’t want to believe it’s Hope, or look into it.

Kat hasn’t heard from Ash and is getting worried. Billie finds him lying in the bushes, bloody and in pain. Ash won’t let Billie take him to a doctor, so she tends to his wounds in his van. Kat arrives, shocked by how hurt Ash is, she thinks they need to report Simmo but Ash is adamant that he can handle it. Ash meets Simmo at the garage and tells him that he’ll rebirth cars for him.

Evelyn has recruited Matt to help her with the volleyball match and he’s quickly turned down by Kat, who immediately guesses he just wants her in a bikini. He continues his theory to Evelyn and Irene though, telling them that sex sells, silencing Irene by reminding her that she had topless male waiters. Evelyn and Matt fail to persuade Brody to take part in the volleyball match but he says he’ll donate or cater. It looks as though they might rope in Hope and Phoebe though.

Tori and Justin are talking in the diner when Raffy enters. Justin wants to tell her they’re related, Tori thinks they should wait. They stop as Raffy approaches and apologises for her recent behaviour. She asks whether there’s something going on with them and Hope, but they say things are fine, respecting Hope’s wishes not to tell her anything. As she moves to leave, unsatisfied, Justin blurts that they’re washing Buddy today, and asks her if she’d like to help. Back at the house, while Raffy occupies Buddy, Justin tries to talk to Raffy about Hope. Tori pulls him aside and tells him he’s moving too fast. They need to let Raffy work out she can trust them in her own time. After tensions are broken while they have fun washing Buddy, Raffy talks to Justin again. She confesses that Hope warned her off them. Justin’s understanding and just reassures her that they want the best for her and Hope. There’s a softening between them and Justin tells Raffy that she can get a towel from his room. But while she’s in there, she accidentally finds the DNA results. In shock and crying, she confronts Tori and Justin, demanding that they tell her everything. Tori explains gently that they have the same mother, then they break the news that Decker isn’t her uncle, he’s her father. Raffy is distraught and runs away, Justin tries to hold her back, but Tori makes him let her go, shocked that he physically grabbed Raffy. When Tori and Justin race into Salt looking for Raffy, Hope overhears and runs out looking for Raffy. Tori, Justin and Brody follow. Hope blames Justin and storms off to search for her ‘sister’. Brody is also angry with Justin, Tori still worried by how he grabbed Raffy. She wonders if there’s more to his actions.

Hope finds Raffy sitting on the floor at Phoebe’s. Hope’s scared that she’s going to lose Raffy but she tells Hope that she chooses her, and wants to leave Summer Bay. Hope tells Raffy to pack, she’ll go and get her pay. When she arrives at Salt, Hope asks to speak to Phoebe, then locks her in the storeroom. By the time Brody finds her in there, Hope has emptied the till and gone. Meanwhile, Raffy waits, bags packed, on edge. She thinks Hope’s arrived, but it’s Justin. Hope’s been arrested. He tries to ask her to come and stay with them but she tells him that she never wants to see him again and slams the door behind her. Brody and Tori are talking when Justin gets home. He’s subdued and goes to his room. He sits in the dark, then gets out a video camera. He watches a little girl playing, then Justin himself appears in the shot and the little girl gives him a kiss…
