The truth about Raffy is exposed. Does Evelyn have feelings for Matt? Duncan gets his chance with Tori.
Extended Summary
With Raffy unable to understand why the Morgans are being so nice to her and Hope, Justin stresses that they need to know if she’s their sister as soon as possible. Tori comes home with the DNA test results, and Brody reveals the verdict – Raffy is a Morgan. Reeling from the news, Justin decides to tell Hope before they speak to Raffy. Hope’s shocked, and wants to tell Raffy by herself. But Hope hasn’t taken it well, and when she sees the keys in Mason’s ignition, packs her things and speeds off. Hope finds Raffy, but is forced to cover when Raffy can tell something’s wrong, to get her into the car. The Morgans find out what’s happened and head off to find them. Out on the road, Hope’s forced to pull over when the car overheats. Suspicious, Raffy opens the boot to find all their things. But Hope can’t tell her where they’re going. A police car approaches, and they head into the bush. Raffy worries they’re going to get lost, when suddenly Hope tumbles violently down a slope. Raffy screams desperately for her sister.
Evelyn kicks Matt out of the farmhouse after his unexpected kiss, but when he tries to drive away, Mason’s car sputters and dies. He asks Evelyn for some gaffer tape the next morning, explaining he slept in the car. They have breakfast together and Evelyn apologises for screaming at him. Matt admits the kiss was his first one since Maddy, and suddenly they’re holding hands, before Evelyn makes an excuse and exits. Matt knows Evelyn felt something, and she confesses her confusion – how can she feel something for him when she’s still in love with Josh? Then when Hope takes Mason’s car, they head to Salt to tell the Morgans. Matt offers to help find Hope and Raffy, reluctantly leaving Evelyn, unsure if she’s okay.
When Duncan fails to ask Tori out on the beach, Roo pushes him to bite the bullet. He texts her, but Tori is too caught up in her family drama to respond. He finds her at Salt and puts her on the spot for a lunch date, and Tori accepts. They enjoy each other’s company until the news of Hope and Raffy’s disappearance reaches them and Tori has to cut the date short. But before she heads off she plants a small kiss on Duncan’s lips.
