Extended Summary
Tori informs Justin and Brody that Decker is out of his coma. Desperate for answers about where they stand with the syndicate, the brothers rush to the hospital. Tori slows them right down, they’ll have to wait until he’s up for visitors. Nate is surprised that Tori would inform Justin and Brody about Decker before informing the patients’ family. Nate corners Tori later, he knows something’s up – Decker must be more than a family friend. Tori acknowledges that she is keeping secrets. She hopes that one day she can tell him the truth, but until then, he needs to stop questioning her about it. Nate accepts this, offering to be there if she ever needs him.
Eventually, Justin and Brody sneak in to see Decker – his relief over Hope and Raffy’s safety is palpable. They discreetly discuss the drug syndicate, but Justin senses Decker is holding back and grows frustrated. Decker says they were safe before his accident, but he can’t be sure now, not until he gets out of hospital. Brody takes the opportunity to bring up his mysterious childhood memory of Decker – a memory which took place seven years before they were supposed to have met him. Decker claims it’s a mistake. Brody is convinced that Decker is lying. Things grow tense – Decker’s blood pressure spikes, causing an alarm to sound. Nate orders the Morgan boys to leave. Tori and Nate are both losing patience with Brody and order him to behave.
Brody is eventually allowed back in to speak to Decker. But once alone, he doesn’t take it easy on the man. Brody grabs the emergency button away from Decker. He isn’t leaving until he gets answers…. Touching upon the memories that have been haunting him, Brody relays what he remembers – Decker relents and admits he used to be an undercover cop working to bring down the syndicate. Coby, their dad was his contact. When Coby started to shut down, Decker grew close to their mother, Kate. He broke protocol, telling her that he was a cop. Decker tried to save Brody’s family, but he failed. He then volunteered to become the kids’ witness protection officer. Decker gave up everything for them. It wasn’t out of guilt – he was in love with their mother, they had an affair. Brody’s suspicions have been confirmed but he is left shaken.
Ash and Kat continue their secret relationship – they have to keep the charade up for two whole months. However, their lust almost immediately lands in them in trouble after a drawn out morning in bed traps Ash in Kat’s bedroom. Hope wonders if Kat has anyone inside her room. Kat lies, and forces Ash to sneak out through her bedroom window. This risky relationship leaves Kat on a noticeable high as she begins her day. Ash’s positive demeanour doesn’t go unnoticed either, as Justin catches him smiling while sending a sly text to Kat. Ash denies anything suspect is going on.
At the police station, Kat is brought up-to-date by Sergeant McCarthy on a credit card scam taking place in town. But she’s quickly distracted by a text from Ash to meet up at the garage for a ‘car service.’ Kat arrives with lunch, but it’s clear this was a ‘booty call.’ Kat tries to shut it down, not wanting to be unprofessional while in uniform. Ash soon seduces her, and with the garage to themselves the pair are all over each other. Caught up in their passion they fail to notice Sergeant McCarthy’s car pull up outside the Garage…. They’re half naked by the time McCarthy slams on the roller door. He wants in, and Ash better open up now.
Brody tells Justin and Tori what he’s learned – they debate whether or not to trust Decker. He lied to them for seven years about their mother. What else might he be keeping from them?… Meanwhile in hospital we see Decker is holding a photograph of a little girl, a grinning toddler. Who is she? And what could she have to do with the Morgans?
