Extended Summary

John and Marilyn are rattled in the aftermath of the robbery. Jordan is nervous as Kat attends to the scene. He apologises, telling her that he thinks the stolen items must have been taken by his father. An upset Jordan assumes that he will be moving on now, and Marilyn and John have to work to assure him that they want him to stay living with them.

Jordan hopes his father will be arrested – confronting him at the Police station and asking him how he sleeps at night. When Kat brings Aaron in for questioning, Jordan learns that they were unable to charge him due to lack of evidence and Aaron’s denial over his involvement.

Later at Salt, Jordan crosses with Aaron and picks a fight. Aaron admits how hard it is to see his son settling in with a new family. Refusing to feel sorry for him, Jordan thinks his Dad only has himself to blame and tells Aaron to stay out of his life – forever.

Meanwhile, a conflicted Kat is still requesting space from Ash after finding out about the garage money having come from Andy and his dodgy dealings – however Ash isn’t listening. With Kat feeling torn between her knowledge of criminal activity and role as a police officer, Ash begs her to look the other way. At work McCarthy asks her about the status of he Garage chop-shop investigation, and takes the moment to lambast her for being an investor. Its clear Kat’s anxiety is growing. Ash later comes over and offers to take her name off any paperwork at the garage but Kat says it doesn’t change the fact that she knows the money is dirty. Kat feels increasingly overwhelmed by the position she’s been put in, until she tells Ash that she only has one option – to confess the truth about the source of the fifty grand. This causes a huge fight between the pair and Kat is distraught that she’s become a crooked cop. Ash reasons that she only ever tried to protect the people she cares about, but Kat knows it was an abuse of power. She’s determined to confess all and throws a fearful Ash out of the house. Will Kat really go through with it?

Leah continues to feel rejected by Zac following his failure to pick up on her suggestive vibes at the sleep-out. Leah resigns herself to the fact that Zac isn’t attracted to her anymore and, a rather amused Roo, thinks she’s being ridiculous. Later over drinks, Zac asks a distant Leah what gives, having picked up on her strange mood. Zac realises that during the sleep-out he missed his chance… Leah admits that she misses Zac. Zac agrees that they haven’t had much quality time lately and assures that’ll change…. And a few drinks later, as they’re heading home, it’s clear that some “quality time” may indeed be on the cards.

Elsewhere, Evelyn returns home, triumphant after the success of the school sleep-out. On a roll, she agrees to help Zac out with some weekend detention the following day. Evelyn immediately gets a text inviting her to a Uni party. Leah and Zac encourage her to go along for some well deserved fun and Evelyn cajoles Matt and Mason into joining her. Before heading out Evelyn spots a photo of Oscar and her during happier times – she heads out determined to keep her sadness at bay.

At pre-drinks, Evelyn is the first to get stuck into the beer. Matt notices the growing warmth between Mason and Evelyn, but Evelyn flatly denies that anything is going on between the pair and the gang traipse off to the party. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that the party is a messy one and Evelyn immediately gets into the spirit of it by downing some shots and continuing to drink. Matt comments on the drinking but Evelyn just wants to have fun – and thinks she deserves some. But when Matt notices a drug exchange taking place, he thinks it’s time to leave. Evelyn, however, doesn’t want to go and an argument ensues between the pair until Evelyn moves off, determined to carry on partying, leaving Matt concerned.

Kat looks in the mirror at her uniform, feeling overwhelmed by the corruption she’s involved with, her anxieties rise and she begins ripping her uniform off. She crumples, shirtless, in the corner.

Ash makes one last ditch attempt to plead with Kat not to confess about the money, but his phone call goes through to her voicemail and he fears his request has been ignored. In the meantime, Kat has tentatively arrived back at the station, with news for McCarthy. We see Kat turn in her badge and uniform, take her belongings and sign a statement…. but did she confess, or is this something else?
