Extended Summary

Tori and her brothers are panicking after Mason took off from the cabin to meet with Lara – there’s no way of contacting him and though the police have been informed of their whereabouts, they are waiting anxiously for help to arrive. Meanwhile, hitching into town, a car pulls over to pick up Mason. He’s in the car before he realises it’s a trap – as Blaine, the driver, hits the accelerator, Mason sees Lara looking scared in the back – Spike keep watch on them both with a gun. Mason’s just played right into their hands…but what game is Lara playing? Later, with the car pulled over in the bush, Mason is beaten and lead to believe Lara is in deep danger by her screams coming from an area he can’t see. Mason is tricked into giving away the whereabouts of his siblings – only to have Lara’s duplicity revealed…she’s working with the bad guys.

Home from the confrontation between Jordan and Hunter, Olivia downloads to Chris – Jordan said she deserves better than Hunter and she’s feeling like a doormat…maybe it’s time to call it a day. Chris bites his tougue before offering advice, and it’s Olivia that convinces herself to give Hunter one more chance. She does love him, and he was always there for her when she was going through some tough stuff. Chris thinks she on the right track. Meanwhile, Alf is fed up with Hunter’s attitude and calls him on it, at first with old-school discipline – and then with a more amiable approach. Hunter finally opens up by admitting its easier to drive away the people who care than to get hurt by having feelings. Alf tells him that’s no way to live his life…and, when Olivia asks him to come over, Hunter goes with higher hopes.

Olivia’s efforts to please and soothe Hunter initially seem to work, but she makes the error of letting him know that Jordan said she deserved better – sparking off a jealous fury in Hunter, who tells her it’s over. Far from the tearful reaction Hunter expects, Olivia coldly, flatly accepts the break-up. Hunter is shocked – and leaves under a cloud. Olivia is sad but resigned – she gave him a chance and he blew it. Is it all over between these two?

Unaware of Tori’s plight, Nate is working back-to-back at the hospital, filling in Tori’s shifts – but he’s confused and hurt over her refusal to answer any texts. Where have the Morgans gone and why? Though he’s extremely tired, he escapes his lonely flat to do some exercise – and runs into Chris on the beach. Cheeky, Chris points out the Youth Liaison officer, Danika, is giving Nate the eye… he needs to get back on the horse. Why not ask her when she knocks off? Nate is reluctant but maybe this is the way to get Ricky (and Tori) out of his head.

Blaine, Spike and Lara arrive at the cabin to extract the information Blaine wants from Justin, taking Mason with them. The Morgans are kept subdued while they learn the truth behind their family history – Justin knew about his father’s dealings in the drug syndicate and when Blaine killed their parents, the bullet their mother took was really meant for Justin. This is news to Tori, Brody and Mason as the shock and hurt shows on their faces. But none of them are able to confront Justin as they all remain in imminent danger. Blaine starts talking about some book that he needs to find to get back into the good graces of the syndicate. Justin swears he has no idea what Blaine is talking about, as he pleads for his siblings’ lives, saying they have nothing to do with this. Whilst everyone is distracted, Tori manages to send a text to their Witness Protection officer, Decker – they found us!

Meanwhile, Danika and Nate have a date at Salt (the new Angelo’s). With the right wine to lubricate the conversation and Danika leading the charge, things seem to be going well. But when Danika heads to the bathroom, Nate has a wobble and thinks of bailing. Chris catches him trying to do a runner and talks Nate out of it – reminding that Ricky’s moved on and maybe he should too. Nate heeds the advice and has another round with Danika, leading to more flirting and Danika cheekily suggesting a change of venue… Nate is on board. Maybe this isn’t as hard as he thought.

Back at the cabin, Blaine has been beating Justin to get information out of him, but finally decides that Justin can take this “book” to his grave for all he cares – finding Justin is all Blaine needs to get back in the game. Mason tries to do a runner but Spike catches him, and Blaine instructs to kill them all – Mason first. Finally Lara pipes up, scared, this wasn’t part of the plan. But as Spike goes to take Mason outside, Justin tackles Blaine, forgetting about the gun, and Tori jumps at Spike. Mayhem ensues and Lara unties Mason’s hands, now petrified of what’s happening. With the siblings working together they all manage to get away and run. In the bush behind the cabin, Justin, Tori and Mason find each other but they have no idea where Brody is. We see Brody, who get’s jumped by Spike. They fight, and Brody falls down a hill and hits his head on a rock. Spike does a runner …Soon, the cavalry arrives – Decker and other federal police. They take Blaine and Lara into custody but the siblings tell him Brody’s still missing. Justin runs back into the bush and finds Brody, unconscious, his head covered in blood – has this final stand-off cost Brody his life?
