Is Ricky having second thoughts about the wedding? Kyle discovers Isla’s plan to pull off a robbery. Lindsay continues scheming to get Hunter.
Extended Summary
Olivia wants to run in the opposite direction when she sees Hunter headed towards her on the beach… But there’s no way she’ll give him that satisfaction. Hunter tells her that he thinks they both jumped to conclusions – he did about Olivia kissing that guy, and she did about Hunter & Lindsay. Hunter’s still hoping they’ll be able to work things out one day. Olivia gives him a one word answer – delusional!
Nate, meanwhile, is all gung ho about getting stuck into planning his and Ricky’s wedding. Ricky, however, is a little bamboozled by the to-do list she’s presented with. She hasn’t even stopped to think about table centrepieces and menu choices. Nor has she organised her dress, yet. Nate insists these things need to be attended to, and, at this point, Ricky’s able to joke about it. He’s not turning into a bridezilla, is he?
Kyle’s feeling very loved up with Isla, and is totally oblivious to why she’s spending so much time sussing out the website for the Reefton Lakes golf club. Isla claims she’s going to apply for a job there. Her heart flies into her mouth, however, as Kyle grabs the bag where she’s hiding her gun. Luckily, Isla lies her way through her weird reaction in snatching it back and Kyle remains none the wiser.
Leah’s concern for Zac’s welfare grows, when she witnesses him fly off the handle with VJ. Ever since his release from prison, he’s not acting like himself… Hunter, meanwhile, arrives home, and confides in VJ that he’s just received a text from Lindsay, who wants to hang out. VJ insists Hunter has to ignore it, if he ever wants a chance to get back with Olivia. But fresh from her earlier rejection of him, Hunter’s convinced he doesn’t have a chance with her, anyway. So why not just hang out with Lindsay – they got on perfectly fine before all the drama. VJ thinks it’s a bad idea.
At the Diner, Lindsay’s like the cat that ate the cream as she purposely lets slip to Olivia that she and Hunter are meeting up. Skye can tell Olivia’s struggling to keep her emotions in check, but she counsels her to stay in control. If she loses it – then Lindsay wins. Olivia sees the wisdom in Skye’s advice but given how rude Lindsay’s being, it’ll be tough to just ignore her.
Ricky, meanwhile, is becoming somewhat overwhelmed by the demands of wedding planning. She never realised the day she and Nate were planning was going to be so involved. This is playing on her mind as she later questions Kyle about his relationship with Isla, and the pace at which its moving. Kyle insists he and Isla are both on the same page and she’ll be sticking around for a while. Ricky, much to Kyle’s surprise, doesn’t give him grief. She trusts his judgement. Kyle then opens up and mentions her weird mood earlier (reacting to the bag) but when Ricky wants more details Kyle insists it was nothing. Meanwhile at home, Isla’s on the phone to an old contact trying to convince them to help her with the job…. which turns out to be robbing Reefton Lakes golf club. When she doesn’t get the help she needs, she packs a bag and heads out to do the job alone.
Tension between Olivia and Lindsay continues to ramp up at the Diner, and when Lindsay makes offensive comments, Olivia raises her arm to deck her. VJ jumps in, just in time, but not before Lindsay’s almost jumped out of her skin. Olivia can’t help being amused. Lindsay, however, is determined to have the last laugh, and goes straight to Hunter and makes up a story about Olivia flirting with random guys at the Diner. Hunter tries not to feel crushed…
Nate asks Zac to be his groomsmen at the wedding to which Zac agrees but he’s not as excited as Nate hoped, clearly Zac’s mind still elsewhere. Ricky, meanwhile, vents her frustration to Leah and Irene – the whole thing is going way over the top! She’s not a Rolls Royce and bridal waltz type of person, and it feels like she’s planning a wedding for an entirely different person. Leah advises her to talk to Nate about her feelings, despite her reluctance to put a dampener on Nate’s excitement. Later, Nate’s continues to hound Ricky about details for the wedding when she finally snaps – she can’t talk about this stupid wedding anymore! And Nate’s left feeling bemused – is Ricky calling off their marriage?
Olivia is so furious over her encounter with Lindsay – she can’t believe Hunter would even hang out with that desperate skank! Skye asks the hard question; whether Olivia wants Hunter back. Olivia admits she does, but wants him to suffer a little first. She’s still so mad but she does want to find a way to forgive Hunter. Skye understands completely. Lindsay, meanwhile, makes a play for Hunter. He rebuffs her advances, insisting that they’re friends and that’s all. Lindsay back peddles, hiding her disappointment as she reassures Hunter she knows where they stand. Hunter takes her at her word – but we’re very much getting the feeling that he’s being played by a scheming Lindsay…
Kyle arrives home to find Isla gone. He finds her phone on the table and the Reefton Lakes golf club website (along with it’s evacuation plan) open on her laptop. As he looks at a message from one of her contacts about the “job” tonight, Kyle puts two and two together. At the golf club, Isla sneaks up behind a staff member as he closes up and points the gun at him. We’re left with the sinking feeling this isn’t going to end well…
