Extended Summary

Leah is still reeling after hearing that Zac has been denied bail. Alf tries to offer her some comfort, but to no avail. Leah asks Morag how long Zac will be held before the trial but Morag has no idea. Leah begs to see Zac before he’s taken away. Over this, Morag spies a smug Dylan as he passes. Having seen him share a look with the Judge earlier, Morag wonders if he had something to do with this. When Leah finally does come face to face with a scared Zac, she hesitates when Zac presumes she believes he didn’t kill Charlotte. Leah explains that it was just that he lied about where he was that night and he was so angry… but it was a stupid thought. She knows he didn’t kill her. Zac tries to be understanding and they hug, just as Kat enters – it’s time to go. Leah is distraught as she watches Zac being driven away to prison.

Meanwhile, Roo is trying to take Evie and Oscar’s mind off Zac’s pending hearing, but she doesn’t have much luck. They soon learn that Zac will remain in prison until the trial, devastating both of the twins. Josh is there to support Evelyn too, showing how much these two are truly in love. Leah returns home, but she is too saddened and too numb to speak to anyone, so quickly disappears inside. Morag, feeling for Leah, is still suspicious about Dylan’s involvement, decides to confront him about it. Dylan refuses to admit anything, but we can see that he’s definitely hiding something.

At the Diner, Matt is waiting for Maddy when she arrives, revealing she’s just spent her share of the rent on a very expensive designer dress. Matt is annoyed, but Maddy assures him that Roo will be able to cover her. Over this, Roo and Irene enter, forlorn. They share the news about Zac and Irene goes to make a call to Olivia – Hunter’s going to need all the support he can get.

Skye & Olivia head to comfort the boys. Skye offers Oscar support and distracting conversation, which Oscar appreciates. Sensing all he needs is something fun to keep his mind of it, Skye suggests they go out for pizza. It’s clear that she has feelings for him that go deeper than friendship, and when he jokes that it’s a date, Skye can’t help but become a little hopeful that he shares those feelings. Little does she know however, Oscar’s invited the entire gang to their pizza night.

As Maddy and Matt receive their texts inviting them to Angelo’s, Matt reveals to Roo that Maddy spent all her money on a dress. Roo is less than happy about this. Meanwhile, Irene and Morag discuss finding Irene’s adopted child, and we learn that Irene is still actively looking. Morag passes on a contact that may also be able to help.

Kat returns from driving Zac to gaol, finds Dylan drinking alone. She opens up about her doubts that Zac is the killer, but Dylan is quick to shut down her suspicions, assuring her that they got their guy. But when Kat goes to check in on Leah, we see that she’s still not convinced.

At the pizza night, Oscar runs into Zara, a girl from uni. Meanwhile, Maddy and Matt continue to bicker, amusing Evie and Josh. As they jokingly lament that they never want to end up like Maddy and Matt, Josh admits that he’s thought about moving out with Evie and spending the rest of his life with her. Evie’s surprised, admitting that’s something she’d like to do also.

Over this, Skye arrives, excited about her ‘date’. But when she asks the others where Oscar’s disappeared to, they point her to the Balcony. She heads, devastated when she sees him kissing Zara. Heartbroken, she rushes out before Oscar sees her. The next day, she confesses to Olivia that she really likes Oscar, but knows there’s no way anything can happen between them, so she’s going to keep her feelings to herself.

Meanwhile, Irene is clearing up after breakfast when there’s a knock at the door. She answers to Claire, a woman that is claiming she is Irene’s daughter.
