Extended Summary

After receiving an anonymous tip off, Kat finds her stolen handcuffs in Billie’s bag. Kat questions Billie down at the station where Billie protests her innocence. Kat allows Ash to speak to Billie who asks her brother if he believes her and he assures her that he does. As they talk Ash’s mind ticks over and he leaves in a rush, Kat staring after him suspicious of what he’s going to do. He goes straight to see Charlotte and pins her up against the wall, hands around her neck. As he tries to force her to admit that she set Billie up Kat charges in telling Ash firmly to let Charlotte go. She tells him to walk away and when he does, Charlotte asks Kat why she doesn’t arrest him but Kat just tells her she got off lightly and walks out. Outside Kat tries to convince Ash that she’s going to get Charlotte but that he mustn’t take any action himself.

Andy finds Hannah, grieving alone on the beach. Andy tells her she doesn’t have to always be the strong one and as she talks about Denny Hannah breaks down. They go back to Andy’s and have a beer, toasting Denny, before Hannah goes on to thank Andy for being there for her. Andy confesses that he still loves her and a stunned Hannah tells him she has to go. Later on Andy finds Hannah at Angelo’s with a glass of wine. He’s tired of pretending there’s nothing between them but Hannah denies it, saying she’s with Chris now. Later Hannah goes round to see Andy and admits that there is something going on with them but she won’t leave Chris. She doesn’t want to hurt him, the way that she hurt Andy. Andy scoffs when she tells him how much she regrets how she treated him, and ends up telling her that he loves her, more than he’s loved anyone but that he’s sick of being screwed over. He wants her out of his life.

Hunter visits Olivia and without thinking, calls her his girlfriend. As Olivia teases him about it he backtracks a little then is silenced by a kiss from Olivia who cheekily leads him towards the couch… Then tells him they’re watching a chick flick. They actually end up kissing until Olivia draws back and tells him she’s ready. Hunter is surprised but happy and they both admit that it will be their first time. Olivia goes on to tell Hunter that she thinks she loves him and Hunter couldn’t be happier. Olivia leads Hunter up the stairs. When they come back down again Olivia is tense and edgy. Hunter tries to ask what’s wrong but she just says she’s fine and puts the TV on. Later Hunter gently insists that she talk to him. Olivia tells him that it wasn’t the sex, that was great – she just can’t stop thinking about her past. Hunter tenderly assures her that he’s there for her and they feel safe together, them against the world. Hunter goes into the diner still feeling loved up but is quickly sobered when he speaks to Roo and Alf who are talking about Denny. As they tell Hunter that the diner safe was found with Denny’s body he puts two and two together and he quickly leaves them to it. He goes straight to confront his mother, bluntly asking if she killed Denny. Charlotte eventually admits it, telling Hunter that it was an accident but he’s floored by her admission and they argue heatedly, Hunter saying they have to go to the police, Charlotte protesting that everything she’s done, she’s for him, to protect him. She insists that it won’t help anyone if he goes to the police and eventually he agrees not to. Charlotte’s relief is short lived though, as Hunter gives one condition: Charlotte must leave the bay. He never wants to see her again… After Hunter stalks out Charlotte is left at an all time low, with nothing left to lose. She goes over to the kitchen and takes Kat’s gun out of a drawer, placing it in her handbag. A desperate woman, what is Charlotte planning to do?
