Extended Summary
Leah has been missing overnight now with Zac, VJ and the whole bay worried for her safety. Zac gets a call from Alf saying he’s found Leah’s car so Zac, John, VJ, Matt & Jett head out to search for her. Marilyn remains behind and calls Irene to come over. When they get to Leah’s car, the boys are eager to head out guns blazing. Alf reels them back and gives everyone directions – they should all stay to the paths until the SES gets there. Zac is positive that this is his fault; he never should have fired Leah. Matt contests that he’s been contributing to Leah’s stress levels the most. Alf convinces them to stop talking about the what ifs and focus on the job at hand.
Ricky wakes up after Kyle has given her a sleep in, settling baby Casey. Ricky’s surprised at his ease with the baby. Ash then turns up to grab the keys for Angelo’s and takes Casey for a second. Ricky clocks that the baby settles for him too, but she seems to be missing the magic touch. Whilst out for a walk, Ricky runs into Nate and he asks her how its going. She reveals she’s worried that Casey is settling for everyone but her. Nate reassures her that it’s an adjustment for every new mum. Then Nate gets a call…
Billie sees Ricky outside the diner and says hi to baby Casey. Ricky mumbles “not you too” when Casey immediately settles, leading Billie to ask what’s up. Ricky relays her conversation with Nate and that he suggested maybe Ricky is stressing out the baby with her worries. Billie suggests she tries meditation and convinces Ricky to allow Billie to teach her some right now. Back at the flat, Ricky is trying to get into it but it’s not really working for her. Billie then asks what she used to do to relieve stress? Surfing. They both head out for a surf, with Ash hanging on the sand with baby Casey. Then, out of the blue, Ash gets a call from Brax.
Meanwhile, Marilyn has called Nate to come over, Irene’s already there. They’re both so worried about Leah. Nate turns up and quickly grabs his stuff to head out with the others to look for her. We see Leah wandering, she sees VJ, but it’s a hallucination. She continues to follow what she thinks is her son, further into the bush.
Nate turns up at the search site just as the SES are setting up. Alf is coordinating the search and reminds VJ that to find Leah, they’ve all got to keep their heads on straight. Leah continues to follow her hallucination further and further, with no one in sight. Whilst searching, Zac ask Nate what would happen if Leah’s aneurism ruptured while she’s out there? Nate admits her chances of survival wouldn’t be good. Leah, confused and dehydrated, tries to catch her hallucination of VJ but trips, falling down some rocks. She’s still, at the bottom lying on the ground. Marilyn gets an update from John, they’ve got more people on the search but still no news. Irene is distraught, how long is this going to go on for? She breaks down in Marilyn’s arms; Irene just wants her friend back.
Leah wakes after her fall, only to wince in agony as she sees her leg is hurt. She manages to hobble onto her feet but doesn’t get far before she stumbles. Leah tries to crawl back up the rocks but fails. She slumps back onto the ground and passes out.
Ash turns up at the flat looking for Kyle and checking on Ricky. Ricky admits she feels much better after the surf and Ash confides it’s the only thing that keeps him sane. Casey seems content and it looks like Ricky finally feels like she’s getting the hang of things. Ash finds Kyle and tells him that Brax wants to see them both. Kyle goes to call Ricky but Ash says Brax has asked to keep her out of it. They head off to the goal unaware of what this is about. The boys turn up and Brax says he needs a favour – their help to break out of prison.
