Extended Summary

Leah tells Irene that Elijah has proposed and Irene is very excited, but is surprised to hear that Leah turned him down. Meanwhile, Elijah’s main concern is that he proposed without a ring and now that he has a ring, he’s wondering if he should propose again – even though Leah’s clearly said that she needs time to think about it. But perhaps Leah might take him seriously now that he has a ring? Miles is unsure, but with her ‘live for the moment’ attitude, Marilyn tells Elijah to go for it. He’s about to do so when Leah expresses just how happy she is with how things are at the moment, with no pressure, and he decides against it. However when Nicole bursts in with the ring that Elijah dropped, Elijah has some explaining to do.

Charlie comes home and tells Leah about the kiss with Angelo, while Angelo downloads to Alf. It’s clear from both conversations that Angelo and Charlie think it was a kiss that had intention. Alf doesn’t feel too comfortable talking about ‘girly stuff’, so calls over Marilyn and Nicole who are only to happy to talk relationships with Angelo, who is feeling increasingly awkward. Nicole gives Angelo advice, telling him to act casual around Charlie. She thinks playing harder to get will make Charlie see how much Angelo is worth to her. Angelo takes Nicole’s advice and is aloof around Charlie. Soon enough both Charlie and Angelo decide to just jump in and ask each other out on a date.

Colleen has got into her head that Marilyn is flirting with Alf and her fury is palpable. When Colleen overhears Leah talk about an engagement, she gets her wires crossed and automatically jumps to the conclusion that it’s Marilyn who is engaged to Alf. Colleen approaches Marilyn about it, but of course Marilyn has no idea what Colleen is talking about.
