Extended Summary

Having discovered that Aden is holding Rachel and Larry captive, Belle is terrified. Listening to him, she realises he’s become deranged. She begs Aden to let Rachel go but he’s not willing to reason with her. Wanting to speed up Larry’s seemingly inevitable death, Aden tries to inject him with morphine from Rachel’s medical bag. But Larry manages to knock the syringe out of his hand and a scuffle ensues.

Amidst the activity, Rachel makes a grab for Belle’s phone and calls the police, unnoticed by Aden. Belle is in the middle of calming Aden by telling him how much she loves him when the police arrive to take him to the station. Alone in the police station interview room, Aden is devastated, lost and scared at what may come of him. He is desperate to see Belle but after the emotional ordeal, she can’t bring herself to speak to him.

Rachel gets the physical all-clear from the hospital but emotionally she’s feeling a wreck. She can’t believe Tony thought she had jilted him, let alone that her best friend, Leah, thought the same thing. Worse, she doesn’t know how to get hold of Tony to tell him he got it all wrong.

Kirsty is stressed about getting the Social Worker’s looming visit. In hope to calm her nerves, Miles persuades her to take a walk, leaving Jai and Annie in charge of Ollie. When they return Ollie has hurt his arm and is being comforted by the Social Worker who arrived early to find him alone in the house – Jai and Annie are no-where in sight. Embarrassed and fearful of the consequences of this incident, Kirsty rushes off with Ollie to the hospital not knowing how she is going to explain herself.

Thankfully though and much to Miles and Kirsty’s surprise, Bartlett later steps in to save the day by telling the Social Worker that he was to blame, The Social Worker swallows Bartlett’s story but Kirsty is still furious with Jai for leaving Ollie – and she lets him know it.
