Jack makes two of the biggest decisions of his life. Sparks start to fly between Aden and his hot new housemate.
Extended Summary
Although she’s only just arrived, Nicole is already flirting with Aden. She’s also picked up on the fact he has a secret – and she’s determined to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, Morag and Roman reassure Aden’s dad that they’ll take good care of his boy, and keep him on the straight and narrow.
Jack is devastated to learn that Rory doesn’t want him at Sam’s funeral. Rory holds him responsible for her death and wants nothing more to do with him. Martha finds Jack on the beach and provides him with some much needed support.
After everything that has happened in his life, Jack has realised that something deep has shifted for him, and he reveals that he wants to quit the police force. Martha is shocked and tries to talk him out of this seemingly rash decision. But Jack is adamant that he’s just not cut out to be a police officer.
Later Jack reveals that there’s another major part of his life that he wants to change – his relationship with Martha. He loves her more than ever and wants them to try again. And he emphasises that this just isn’t some whim – his is one hundred percent sure that Martha is the person he wants to be with…that’s if she’ll have him back. Martha can hardly believe this is happening – she totally feels the same way. It’s clear that this time they are sure – this time it’s forever.
