Aden’s out of hospital, but is he ready to confront his past? Will Ric fight again? A new girl comes to Summer Bay.

Extended Summary

Noel wants Ric to fight again, but he hadn’t counted on Matilda being involved in the negotiations this time. Having only just found out about the first fight, Matilda’s appalled at the thought of Ric putting himself in that kind of danger again. But Ric enjoyed his first fight, and this time Noel’s offering an even bigger pay out. Matilda can’t believe he’s considering it, but Ric points out that her biggest problem with the first fight was his lack of honesty, and she said that, had he come clean with her from the beginning, she would have let him fight if he really wanted to.

Well he wants to now, and trapped by her own words, she reluctantly agrees. But this time she’ll go and watch, and if she hates it, which she knows she will, he won’t fight again. Worried about Matilda being left alone while Ric fights, the pair agree it would be best to bring someone to keep her company, and they couldn’t think of a better suited candidate than Jazz. Thinking of it all as just a bit of excitement, she’s only too happy to oblige.

With Aden almost ready to be released from hospital, Roman offers to let him stay for a while at his place if he’s not yet ready to go home. Though he plays it cool, Aden’s only too happy to have somewhere to crash that doesn’t bring back so many bad memories, and Roman even offers him a job at the Diner. When Larry finds out about Aden’s decision to move in with Roman, he’s hurt and confused, having thought they were getting things back on track. Aden says they are, but he’s still not ready to go back, and Larry understands. If this is what Aden needs, he’s only too willing to support him in it, to do whatever it takes to make up for his past mistakes.

With Aden moving in and Martha having just moved out after her split with Roman, Morag’s ready to find somewhere else. But Roman’s happy for her to stay on if she needs to, if anything he could do with her help now that Aden will be moving in, and she agrees. It seems like things will be simple enough until everything gets a whole lot more complicated when Roman’s daughter Nicole arrives out of the blue and ready to move in.
