Rachel and Brad arrive home from the hospital and Brad is so pleased to finally see his sister happy again. She can’t believe the lost ones survived but all she is certain of, is how much she is looking forward to spending the rest of her life with Kim. But back at the hospital, Kit and Kim continue their awkward discussion about how to break the news to Rachel. Kim struggles with the thought he will just cause her more heartache after all she’s been through. They both acknowledge their bond came from the extraordinary situation they found themselves in, but at the end of the day, they are no more than just friends. Kit and Kim come to the decision to keep their secret to themselves.Beth walks in to collect her handbag she left behind. Beth clocks the awkwardness between Kim and Kit, but lets it go. As she moves off again, Kim and Kit share a look of relief – that was close!
Amanda has renewed determination to make amends with Belle. She approaches Irene for her help. Irene is dubious at first – she doesn’t want to pressure Belle but eventually gives in and agrees to talk to her. Belle is instantly aware of what’s happening when Irene insists she give Amanda a go. Irene makes a heartfelt plea that begins to sway Belle – but what will she decide to do?
Amanda sitting next to her swimming pool when Irene arrives. Amanda is instantly relieved that Belle has decided to give her a chance to talk and will expect her visit at the hospital by 4 pm sharp. Irene warns Amanda not to mess it up. As Irene walks away, Amanda goes in for a swim and one of her earrings goes into the filter box in the pool. Amanda reaches in to retrieve but in doing so, gets her arm well and truly wedged. She tries desperately to yank it free but with no luck – uh-oh looks like Amanda isn’t going anywhere! Meanwhile, Belle waits in her hospital room, watching the clock tick by every minute. Irene watches on with amusement – Belle is just as curious to talk to her mother. Eventually, the clock passes 4pm and Belle is deeply disappointed – Amanda has done a no-show! Irene storms off absolutely furious. Meanwhile, Macca has discovered Amanda in her predicament and is doing all he can to free her from the jaws of the pool filter. Eventually, her arm is freed but in doing so, Macca stumbles in to the pool. Macca emerges from the pool dripping wet and half-naked when Irene busts them. Amanda tries desperately to explain the situation but Irene refuses to hear about her shenanigans and storms off. Amanda later arrives at the hospital but Irene gives her the stern warning to stay away from Belle. Amanda moves off devastated – has she just ruined her one and only chance to get to know her daughter?
Rachel, Leah and Dan are discussing the issue of Drew, who is still missing. Suddenly, Rachel’s eyes light up as she spots Kim walk through the door – she is surprised and ecstatic he has been discharged from hospital early. As she ushers him inside, making a big fuss, Kim struggles to hide the guilt he is feeling. Keeping this secret is proving harder than he anticipated. Kim later returns to the hospital to talk to Kit – he has changed his mind and now wants to tell Rachel the truth. Kit agrees and assures Kim that Rachel will be understanding, given the circumstances. Back at home, Kim races in looking for Rachel, determined to get everything off his chest but she’s not home. Brad takes the opportunity to confide in Kim how relieved he is that Rachel is back on track. He reveals the torment that Rachel suffered while Kim was away. Kim is shocked – he had no idea that Rachel had struggled so badly. Brad mentions Rachel is on her way to the hospital. Kim is instantly panicked by the realisation she will visit Kit, who assumes Rachel knows the truth and therefore, let the cat out of the bag. Kim races into Kit’s room and just in time! Kit is mid-sentence when Kim cuts off her conversation with Rachel. Rachel is slightly bemused but moves off without question. Kim reveals to Kit he has changed his mind and wants to keep the secret – oh boy, that was close!
Back at home, Leah and Dan are discussing the rumours they’ve heard about Irene and Amanda’s battle over Belle. There’s a knock at the door. Dan moves to open it and is stunned to find Drew standing in front of him. He’s back!
