The Morgans battle to save the life of the man who holds the key to their past. Tori’s relationship with Duncan is threatened by his ex-wife.
Extended Summary
Police swarm the scene of Hope’s kidnapping. Justin, Kat and Ash discuss what they are going to do with Raffy, who they’ve just narrowly rescued from Spike. It’s decided that Raffy will stay at the farmhouse until they know more.
Meanwhile, Alf, Roo, Duncan, Caroline and Bryce enjoy a family meal in which it becomes clear to Roo that Caroline may still have feelings for Duncan. This is confirmed when Caroline tries to kiss Duncan at the end of the evening. He rejects her advances.
Brody is frustrated to be told by Tori that Decker has lapsed back into unconsciousness. Brody is desperate for answers to why he’s having flashbacks from years ago in which Decker and Brody’s dead mother, Kate, feature.
Tori reveals to Nate that Duncan has been spending more time with his ex and their son. Tori tries to be optimistic but it’s clear things are getting more complicated than she first thought.
Justin, Ash and Kat bring Raffy back to the farmhouse and Justin explains the situation to Phoebe – only she knows the Morgan Family’s connection to Spike. Phoebe and Justin agree that it’s likely that Spike was the one who tried to run Decker off the road – further increasing the pressure for Justin to get to the hospital to make sure he is okay.
Spike arrives at the hospital with Hope, who he is secretly holding hostage using a concealed weapon. By pretending to be Hope’s husband, they gain access to Decker’s room through Nate, who only knows Spike as his friend from the gym. Alone with a vulnerable Decker, Spike fights off Hope and works to inject Decker with a deadly substance. Justin and Tori burst into the room, overpowering Spike and rescuing Decker.
Hope and Raffy are reunited. Pleased by the role she played in saving their lives, Kat reflects on what she misses about being a cop. Meanwhile, Phoebe suggests Raffy and Hope can stay at the farmhouse to keep them safe.
Caroline sees Tori and Duncan at the beach together, peaking her jealousy. Caroline reveals to Roo that she is willing to fight to get Duncan back, and that it’s now or never. Tori is then confronted by Caroline, who pressures Tori to extricate herself from the relationship with Duncan so he, Caroline and Bryce can be a family again.
