Article in the Sunday Telegraph:

Home and Away’s Raechelle Banno is a finalist in the prestigious Tropfest Short Film Fesitval.

FROM Summer Bay to Parramatta Park. Raechelle Banno, who first appeared on Home and Away as Olivia Fraser Richards more than two years ago, is building a name for herself as one of Australia’s standout actors.

The 24-year-old is starring in two short films, one of which, psychological thriller Phenomena, has been nominated as a finalist in the prestigious Tropfest Short Film Festival next week.

Keeping it a family affair, Olivia appears in the film with her twin sister Karina.

“We all had high hopes for the film but at the end of the day the amount of people who enter Tropfest, you just know you’re such a small fish in a big pond. So to hear that we’d been selected was just the loveliest news,” she said.

“And to share it with my sister is even more special. A real treat.”

The film’s success comes after the two sisters also shared the screen in dark comedy Second Best, which was an official selection at FlickerFest2018 and resulted in Alyssa McClelland receiving the award for Best Director.

However, while Raechelle couldn’t attend the screening of Second Best, Karina now misses out on the premiere of Phenomena. She’s currently in Los Angeles trying her luck during pilot season.

“She’s my best friend. It’s hard. But we make a lot of effort to keep in contact,” she said.

Despite her sister’s pull to America, Raechelle has her feet firmly planted on Australian soil, and in Summer Bay, for now.

“As a creative being, you do crave that challenge,” she said.

Hollywood actor Susan Sarandon will help judge Tropfest on February 17 in Parramatta Park.

Is there anyway of watching her film?

I am not sure if there is anywhere you can watch 'Phenoma' at the moment, but with it being a finalist, I imagine they would put it up on the Tropfest YouTube channel/site sometime after the festival takes place this coming Saturday (Feb 17). According to the Tropfest 'meet the finalists' page, it goes for 7 minutes https://www.tropfest.org.au/blog/79.

The same for the other short film, Second Best (I think it goes for 20 mins?), I imagine. It had it's world premiere as part of the Flickerfest Short Film Festival in January, but I am not sure if it is up on YouTube etc. This a bit of a write-up on it:

Maybe you could ask Raechelle directly via her Facebook page?
