Bubble bursts for loved-up soapie duo

THEY only recently went public with their match-made-soapie-in-heaven romance but it seems the magic has worn off for Axle Whitehead and Samara Weaving, with the Home and Away pair believed to have called time on their off-screen relationship.

The duo, who confirmed in June that they were dating after weeks of public sightings, have both been spotted out and about with new partners recently.

Whitehead was first spotted at Surry Hills watering hole The Gaslight with a mystery brunette last month.

Weaving, meanwhile, has gone public with a new beau and was seen recently canoodling in Sydney's inner west with a bearded hunk (who struck little resemblance to Whitehead).

Contacted yesterday, a rep for Weaving said they weren't across the actress's personal life, while Whitehead's management made no comment.

Despite the 11-year age gap (Weaving is 20 and Whitehead 31) and the good girl/bad boy combination, the pair were one of television's emerging glamour couples, with Whitehead overheard gushing back in June about his new girlfriend.

The relationship marked a new phase for Weaving - niece of Matrix star Hugo Weaving - who split from her high school sweetheart last year.

Whiteheads's most notable previous relationship was with actress Lisa Gormley..

Whitehead, famously sacked by Channel 10 for exposing his penis at the 2006 ARIAs, plays former rocker Liam Murphy on Home and Away while Weaving, 20, plays the free-spirited Indi.
