Jodi Gordon's joy: I'm engaged!

The actress couldn’t wait to share the news after her footy hunk popped the question.

Like most girls who have just excitedly accepted a marriage proposal, former Home And Away star Jodi Gordon was bubbling over with joy when she tried on her engagement ring. She flashed the stunning diamond for the world to see in a beaming profile picture on her Facebook page – and, at 8.06pm on June 16, she updated her profile status to “engaged to Braith Anasta”.

Within minutes, several of Jodi’s 380 friends had shot back their best wishes. “Congrats guys. All the best,” posted Ash May Brewer. “Congrats Jodi n Braith,” wrote Nikki Eslick “’bout time!!!!,” noted cheeky Sophie Rathmell. Days later, as Woman’s Day can exclusively reveal, Jodi was spotted trying on wedding rings at jeweller-to-the stars Nick Cerrone’s store in Leichhardt, in Sydney’s inner west.

And now she and Braith have splashed out $1.8 million for a stunning house in Clovelly, described by Raine & Horne Coogee agent Graeme Anderson as “perfect for a young family”. This topped off what has been an incredible two weeks for Jodi, who has tried to keep a lid on her engagement, but couldn’t wipe the smile off her face when she saw the property which will become their marital home.

With two major Australian films due for release later this year, and Hollywood calling, Jodi, 26, has never been hotter property. She recently signed with Australian agent Sean Anderson, who represents Jennifer Hawkins and Jamie Durie among others.

Jodi Gordon and Braith Anasta announce engagement.

FORMER Home and Away beauty Jodi Gordon is set to tie the knot with rugby league star Braith Anasta.

The pair, whose engagement story appears in Women's Day today, told friends last week they were set to wed and are buying a family home in Sydney's east.

Roosters skipper Anasta was linked to actor Gordon shortly after she split with Channel 7 heir Ryan Stokes in 2009.

At the time, Gordon was thrown into the public spotlight after an incident where she called police and was found cowering in a Sydney apartment with a well-known bikie after an alleged all-night bender.

She put the incident behind her when she met Anasta, with the pair becoming one of the hottest items on the Sydney social scene.

Jodi Gordon and Braith Anasta Are Engaged!

Jodi Gordon is getting married! The actress is beaming with the news that long-time boyfriend Braith Anasta has popped the question. They apparently got engaged just under two weeks ago and had been trying to keep the news a secret, but it made the front cover of Woman’s Day this week so the joyous news is out of the bag.

Prior to dating Braith, who plays for the Sydney Roosters, Jodi was in a long-term relationship with Ryan Stokes, while Braith also dated Erin McNaught before splitting in August 2009. Jodi and Braith have reportedly bought a $1.8 million home in Clovelly, Sydney, where they are looking to settle. Congrats to the couple!

Red carpet dazzles before Dally M Awards

They've been waiting all season, but it was finally time for the girlfriends of the NRL stars to show off their moves on the red carpet at the Dally M Awards.

Black, white and gold glittered the carpet as the women who can usually be seen on the sidelines took centre stage at the entrance of the ceremony in Sydney on Tuesday night.

But it was Australian actress Jodi Gordon who was the stand-out in the sea of black, sporting bright pink as she posed for photographers. Gordon took much of the attention off her partner, Sydney Roosters captain Braith Anasta, with the bright garment as they walked the red carpet hand in hand.

Dannii Minogue's fashion range Project D also got a showing with the wife of one of the medal favourites, Billy Slater, sporting a black sequined one-sleeved gown from the collection.

Pin-up Braith Anasta and Jodi Gordon set wedding date

A DATE for the one of the most anticipated weddings of 2012 has finally been set. Perhaps more importantly, so has the dress.

After announcing their engagement in August, Braith Anasta and Jodi Gordon have decided to walk down in the aisle in October.

It's a curious (not to mention cold) time of year to get hitched, but such is the life of Roosters captain Anasta, staring down the barrel of a busy NRL calendar plus his ongoing attempts at cracking professional golf.

Gordon confirmed the date when we put it to her.

"It will be off-season ... October," the former Home And Away beauty said.

Gordon hinted it's unlikely the nuptials will take place in Oz.

There has been much speculation the couple will head to warmer climes to tie the knot, with the likely destination being Bali or Fiji.

Confidential's sartorial sources say Gordon's personal stylist, Kelly Smythe, has been surreptitiously working on a design for the gown with the latest go-to team for wedding dresses, J'Aton.

Not only has Dannii Minogue said she will head straight to the dynamic duo behind the brand - Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino - when the time comes for her to marry, they are behind the well-received creation of Rebecca Judd's big day and, recently, Natalie Bassingthwaighte's topical frock.

Anasta proposed to Gordon in the garden of their then-new $1.9 million Clovelly home while they were moving.

They celebrated their engagement with a small backyard barbecue in October. Friends of the footy pin-up say he has "always" wanted to be a dad and raise a large family.
