AXLE Whitehead has been banned from attending official Sydney Swans functions after his behaviour at Saturday night's game against Geelong at the SCG.

The Home And Away star, who infamously flashed his manhood at the 2006 ARIAs, attended the Swans' Forward Pocket function as a special guest of a club supporter.

One guest told us Whitehead, who was joined by fellow Channel 7 stars Daniel Macpherson and Sarah Cumming, hurled abuse at Swans fans, made lewd hand gestures and used offensive language. Macpherson and Cumming were not accused of any inappropriate behaviour.

"He looked like he had far too much to drink and was yelling and screaming abuse during the game," the guest said.

"Everyone was really angry but when they told him to behave he called supporters 'dickheads'."

Another guest said: "You don't go to a football game, in a function room, and abuse fans of the home team," he said.

"We left early and made it clear to event staff this Axle's behaviour was extremely offensive."

But Whitehead's rep Denise Roberts yesterday described the claims as "making a mountain out of a molehill" and claimed it was one female Swans fan who verbally attacked him.

"Axle was defending himself against one woman in particular who was abusing him. He didn't start the altercation," Roberts said.

As for claims he was drinking heavily, Roberts said: "I don't know how much he was drinking."

A Swans spokesperson acknowledged the incident yesterday.

But Confidential understands the club is fuming at Whitehead's behaviour and has slapped a ban on the actor, barring him from events.
