Hunter responds to Christina’s harassment allegations. Are Justin and Willow on the same page?

Extended Summary

Willow is running a class on the beach. John comes along and says he missed her starting because he was caught up with Raffy. He’s not there to welcome her, though, but to make sure all the gym gear goes back and says he only took her back on because they were short-staffed. Justin comes along and John tells her he’ll see her up top. Willow admits John doesn’t trust her and Justin tries to assure her it’s not forever. Willow observes they haven’t had a chance to talk since he’s been back and they arrange to meet for lunch. Meanwhile, Alf, Leah and Hunter arrive home. Hunter is very pessimistic, saying it’s his word against Christina’s. Alf and Leah argue that there’s no proof of her accusation. Leah says Christina initiated it, seducing him and dragging him to a motel. Hunter looks awkward and admits he booked the motel and bombarded her with texts. Alf gets a text and has to leave. Leah tries to convince Hunter the truth will come out but Hunter thinks he’ll be expelled by then.

Ziggy is working on a car at the garage while Dean is standing around, insisting on waiting for Justin despite Ziggy trying to claim that she’s his boss. He is worried about stuffing up although Ziggy tries to reassure him that Justin won’t fire him. Justin turns up and takes Dean for an Occupational Health and Safety refresher course. At the gym, John is watching Willow clean a punch bag and tells her she’s meant to clean the whole cage. Willow says she’s overdue lunch; John agrees but reminds her to only take 30 minutes. Willow argues that he’ll never know if he can trust her unless he gives her a chance. John says that could cause him more trouble. A delivery comes in and he tells Willow to unpack it.

Justin and Ziggy try out the car which Ziggy was working on, which starts. Justin says he’s going for lunch but gives Ziggy a list of jobs to do. Ziggy brings out her packed lunch and invites Dean to share it with her: He sees she has two sandwiches. Later, Ziggy is hogging the chocolate for herself. She says she could get Brody to make Dean some another time and makes a joke about him going to jail which he agrees is too soon. She offers him chocolate for a question, asking him what the deal is with Willow and why she was arrested for the assault on Alf. Dean says she didn’t do it.

Alf finds Hunter outside the bait shop. He notes that Hunter keeping his head down makes sense but it isn’t him, pointing out all the trouble he’s gone through: Everything with his mother, failing to connect with his father and Olivia. He advises him to keep fighting. Hunter goes home, where Leah is considering going to talk to Christina. Hunter thinks it won’t help and says he’s going to talk to her himself.

Willow meets Justin at Salt. She says John’s mostly been all right and Justin says the same about Dean. Willow accepts she shouldn’t complain but is frustrated by the lack of trust. They start to talk about their relationship but John comes in and calls out to Willow that her thirty minutes are up. She and Justin decide to talk later. In the garage, Ziggy finds the car now won’t start. Dean notes a smell of sulphur and suggests a fuel pressure problem or clogged catalytic converter. Justin returns and tells Dean to shift the tyres outside. He then gives the same diagnosis Dean did. Ziggy tells him Dean actually knows his stuff.

Christina arrives at Salt where Leah is sitting with Hunter. Leah leaves but can’t resist telling Christina she should be ashamed as she passes. Hunter tells her Leah’s just worried about him and convinces her to stay and talk. A woman using a laptop at a nearby table seems very interested in their conversation. Back at the garage, Justin and Ziggy approach Dean, with Justin noting Dean knows his way around cars. Dean says that’s from stealing them, then says he was joking, mostly. Justin doesn’t want to know about that but thinks he should put his skills to use. Ziggy suggests an apprenticeship. Dean doesn’t want to start something he won’t finish and says he’ll look into courses inside. Justin and Ziggy argue he doesn’t have a court date and studying would look good at his trial. Justin convinces him to think about it and Ziggy jokes about Dean learning from her.

Willow and Dean run into each other outside the surf club. They exchange notes on their first days back in the job. Dean says Willow was right and Justin is pretty decent, before referring to him as her boyfriend. Willow says they haven’t worked that out yet and is uncomfortable about going from Dean straight back to Justin. He says it’s her life. Willow and Justin meet up outside the Morgan house and go inside. Willow says she has a long way to go with her recovery and knows she screwed up but does want them to get back together. Justin says he does too. Willow says he’s been good to her and she loves him. They kiss, close the door and head towards the bedroom.

Christina tells Hunter she didn’t want things to go the way they did and that, if he withdraws his complaint and drops out of uni, she’ll drop hers. She argues that he’ll be able to start again somewhere else with a clean slate. Hunter asks how she can do it if she’s meant to care about him. Christina makes to leave but Hunter says he’ll do it, withdraw his statement. He asks her if she meant what she said about caring about him. Christina said she did and that he was a wake-up call and that the night at the motel was the best of her life. She admits she lied because he hurt her and she still wants to be with him. Hunter asks the woman if she got all that, telling Christina she’s his rep from Student Affairs and it’s over. He walks out to the headland, looking very torn about what’s happened.
