Extended Summary
Ash is going for one last surf with the River Boys, who are leaving town. Ash notes the locals will be happy and Taz pointedly reminds him they helped him with Robbo. Dean privately suggests to Ash that Taz has brothers in jail who could give Robbo a “welcome” but Ash is satisfied with him doing long jail time. Dean notes it was good to hang out with the Boys again, since it’s hard to get them together, and that his boss has been calling him. Ash says he has to get to work too. He heads to the garage and gives Justin a part that was delivered for the Triumph, acidly noting that he can finally finish and sell it instead of it taking up floor space. Irene arrives with the rest of Ash’s things. She is shocked to realise he is sleeping at the garage and tells him he’s welcome to come back to hers but Ash is happy as things are.
David is continuing to hold Leah, Jasmine and Ryder prisoner, despite both Leah and Jasmine trying to get him to see what he’s doing. He insists that he and Jasmine belong together and he’s going to prove it. At the Diner, Colby has got a call reporting a theft and tells Irene to cancel his lunch order. Marilyn stops by Roo’s table, where she is working on lesson plans for when the school reopens. Marilyn asks her about Alf but Roo still isn’t ready to talk to him. Marilyn invites her to have dinner with her and John. Meanwhile, Alf and John are exiting the surf club, discussing the meeting. John asks Alf about Roo and then invites him to have dinner with him and Marilyn. Alf insists he’s not a charity case but John says they’d enjoy his company. Alf agrees. After all, he’s got nothing to get home for…
David is on the phone booking a hotel room, asking for champagne and a nice view. Ryder is on the verge of panicking and tries to go but David snaps at him to sit down. Jasmine says David can’t force her to love him and David sneers about “women like you” saying they want a nice guy and then treating him like dirt. Leah says if he was a nice guy he’d let them go and he’ll go to jail for breaking his AVO. David says not if Jasmine withdraws it. Later, David shows Jasmine photos of one of their dates. Jasmine suggests they recreate it, with picnic and pizza rather than a hotel room. David says Leah and Ryder would call the police so Leah suggests they have pizza together. She says she can order it online with her iPad. She exchanges significant looks with Jasmine and Ryder throughout and Jasmine keeps David’s attention while Leah adds “000 SOS” in the comments section. David snatches the iPad off her but it’s only showing an Order Sent notification.
Brody is serving Willow in Salt, with Leah’s order lying unnoticed in a pile. Dean comes in and tries to cadge Willow’s beer, then tries to sell her some tools he has, insisting that he’s going legit. Justin comes in to meet Willow and Dean leaves. Justin complains about Ash’s attitude. Meanwhile, at the Palmer house, John tells Alf he’s going to follow the cooking instructions and promptly deviates from them, raising the temperature so it will cook faster. Marilyn arrives home with Roo; John and Marilyn realise their faux pas and Roo suspects a pepper pot intervention. Alf and Roo both want to go but Marilyn suggests they could stay and just not talk about anything awkward. Alf says it’s doable. Roo says nothing.
Justin is telling Willow he has a surprise for her in the morning. Brody comes over and shows them Leah’s receipt with the message. Willow suggests she might just mean she wants the food fast but Brody doesn’t think that sounds like Leah. Willow admits she heard about a woman using a pizza order to reveal she was being abused so Brody decides to call her. Leah’s phone rings and David answers it. Brody said he just wanted to check Leah’s order and, when David won’t let him talk to her, says he wanted to know if she wanted the free garlic bread. Leah says she does so David passes on the message then sits down again.
Dean is showing Ash the tools in his boot outside the surf club, offering to sell them to him. Colby comes up and says Dean’s boss has reported stolen tools. He asks to see in the boot but Dean asks for a warrant, not falling for Colby’s “if you’ve got nothing to hide” argument. Colby says he has probable cause but backs off when he gets a call from McCarthy, telling Dean to get rid of whatever he has. Ash is annoyed Dean tried to sell him stolen goods but Dean insists he hasn’t and is upset at Ash’s lack of trust. Meanwhile, Leah and the others are sat waiting when there is a knock at the door and someone says they’ve brought the pizza. However, when David answers it, it’s Colby, who quickly overpowers and handcuffs him, saying he’s under arrest for breaking his AVO.
Jasmine and Leah are signing their statements at the police station. Colby tells them David has now broken his AVO twice as well as his bail conditions. The women check he will actually be locked up this time and Colby points out he’ll also be charged with kidnapping and won’t get bail again. Jasmine asks to see him and Colby shows her through to the interview room. David tries to get her to tell the police it was a mistake. Jasmine says he’ll probably be bitter and twisted and blame her. David insists he loves her. Jasmine says what he did wasn’t love and he needs to stop thinking women owe him. David protests that they had something. Jasmine gives up and tells him to enjoy his time in jail.
Alf, John, Marilyn and Roo are eating in awkward silence, which John breaks by saying it was delicious. The others agree and Roo offers to clear the table. Alf helps while John and Marilyn give them space. Alf asks Roo if she read the letter; she says she did but doesn’t want to talk about it. Alf gets a call from Ryder and goes outside to take it. Later, back at the house, Ryder is regaling Alf, Leah and Jasmine with stories of everything he was planning to do. Leah says he was brave and to leave it at that. Alf promises Jasmine no-one will get by him. Jasmine is ready to leave in the morning, thinking she’s brought them enough trouble, but Leah asks her to stay and Alf agrees. Ryder ponders if they actually ordered pizza or not.
A hooded figure makes their way through the caravan park: It’s Dean, who goes to Willow’s van. He gets no answer when he calls out to her so breaks in. Later, Justin and Willow go back to the caravan but when they go inside they find Dean waiting for Willow in the bed. He notes he wasn’t expecting Justin, who walks away but is still just outside when Willow throws a now clothed Dean out of the van. Dean protests he has nowhere to stay and seems to think he still has an opening with Willow. Willow stops Justin clobbering him and Dean leaves.
John serves Roo and Marilyn coffee and then leaves them alone. Roo thinks she should go too but is tearful. She says her mother said in the letter that she didn’t want to pretend anymore. She recalls giving up her own daughter to give her a better life, but says she was twelve years old and her mother didn’t want her. Marilyn comforts her.
