Extended Summary

Brought in for questioning about Gunno’s death, Heath lies to protect himself. However, when put under pressure, Heath’s story threatens to unravel. He sticks to his guns, but is worried about the incoming DNA report… the guilt starts eating at him, and Heath tells Ash about the cops – and reveals Gunno’s dead. Heath saw him fall from the cliff. He will be implicated in his death. Ash is sympathetic, adamant Gunno got what he deserved. But it’s little comfort to Heath, who’s torn about what to do next. Ash offers to lie to back up Heath’s story, but Heath’s done with lying. At home, Bianca struggles to keep what’s going on from Irene, eventually revealing she can’t take much more of the past coming back to haunt them but avoids specifics. Heath returns with a solution – he’s going to confess. Bianca urges him to reconsider but Heath’s adamant it’s the only way to put an end to this. However before he can do so, the forensics report reveals the body isn’t Gunno’s. Heath’s still tempted to come clean but Bianca stops him, saving him from making a big mistake. Bianca asks Heath to commit to working on their issues together and he happily agrees. However she has one request – that they stay in Summer Bay to do it.

Phoebe’s worried she’s boring after cutting Justin out. She starts crashing Evelyn and Matt’s couple time, and Matt teases that she stop being selfish and do something for charity… like Evelyn. And like that, he escapes – she’s Evelyn’s problem now. Phoebe starts hijacks Evelyn’s YCYC fundraiser idea by setting up a concert! Evelyn doesn’t reckon it can be done in 2 weeks, but hurricane Phoebe’s already started. Blaming Matt, Evelyn makes him go talk to Phoebe and fix it. Matt goes to shut it down, but is actually sold by Phoebe’s pitch. He sees how happy she is organising this, he can’t bring himself to stop her. When he explains it to Evelyn, she understands and they decide to help Phoebe.

Despite her ongoing back pain, heavily pregnant Billie is happier since sorting things out with VJ. Billie insists she just got a bit overwhelmed by it all but everything is good now. However when Ash sees Leah fussing over Billie, he feels even more guilty that she’s doting on a grandchild she doesn’t know isn’t hers. This guilt is piqued further when Leah reveals her parents have set up a $10,000 trust fund for the baby, hoping he might help give it to Billie so she doesn’t feel uncomfortable. But to Leah’s surprise, Ash refuses, doing his best to subtly shut it down. Confused Leah fears Billie’s said something about her being overbearing but Ash assures her she hasn’t. Leah’s decided – she’s giving her the money. Phoebe thinks Billie deserves every cent after what happened but with his sister’s secret front of mind, Ash questions what she means. Phoebe scrambles but Ash sees through her flustered lies, realising she knows about the attack. Phoebe’s surprised he does too, but is even more taken aback when she discovers he doesn’t know who was responsible. But before Ash can find out, panicked Billie interrupts them. Can she stop the truth from being revealed?
