Extended Summary

Fed up with Heath’s attitude, Bianca prepares to head back to the city but a call from Nate stops her – Heath’s in hospital. Bianca and Irene rush to the hospital and discover Heath’s being prepped for surgery. He has a probable lesion in his stomach and needs an endoscopy to find out where the bleeding is coming from. Although Tori and Nate are careful to stay neutral, Bianca’s certain all of this has been caused by his drinking and is furious with him – much to the dismay of stepdaughter Darcy. After a tense and difficult wait, Heath’s friends and family are relieved to learn the surgery was a success. However, as Cheryl fusses around her son (and berating him for his drinking). Bianca keeps her distance. Nate confirms they got Heath’s blood test back and he wasn’t over the limit, so at least he wasn’t drink driving. Bianca isn’t sure that’s enough to earn her forgiveness. Eventually, it’s Darcy that calls Heath and Bianca on their lack of communication. This is her family too – and they’re stuffing it up. They need to think about her and Harley and sort this out.

Inspired by Darcy, Bianca lets out her anger at his actions. Heath admits he was wrong to keep what happened with Gunno from her. Bianca confesses that, as angry as she is with him, the thought of living without him is unbearable. She doesn’t want her or the kids to live without him. They agree to work on their marriage. Darcy, Irene and Cheryl are delighted as he and Bianca commit to giving their relationship another go.

Having forced Decker to talk to his estranged daughter Raffy, Justin’s touched by their slowly growing bond. However, his wistfulness about his own daughter Ava is thrown in to sharp relief when Kat reveals she’s been doing some digging and wants to know why they Morgans’ official paper trail only seems to go back seven years. Justin questions Kat’s motivations for looking into them. It’s none of her business. Kat thinks it is – she wants to make sure everything’s okay. She nearly sees Decker, but Raffy covers- acting bright to get her out of there. Justin alerts Decker to Kat’s digging around. She’s been asking questions – what if she asks the wrong people? She could stuff it up at the last minute. Decker needs to shut her down – today.

Meanwhile loved up Tori reveals Nurse Gretchen is totally onto them. Privately acknowledging the irony, Tori admits she doesn’t like keeping secrets. Maybe it’s time to come clean. Stop their relationship from becoming a big scandal. Kat comes to speak to Tori, as Nate kisses her farewell – they’re finally officially ‘a thing’. However, Tori’s happiness is short lived when Kat starts to question her. She fills in Justin who is starting to feel the pressure. Justin’s annoyed Decker hasn’t dealt with it and tells Tori about him testifying next week. Both can’t hide their joy at the thought of this nearly being over… Tori could be herself, Justin could see Ava. But they’re cautious. Kat could undo everything.

At the end of a long day, Justin checks in with Raffy who reluctantly admits that she enjoyed finally getting to talk to Decker. But it doesn’t make up for the past 15 years. Justin presses – does she think maybe she could ever forgive him? Raffy says maybe if he shows up like he promised. Thinking of Ava, Justin tells Raffy he will. Decker loves her. Raffy tentatively hopeful.

Meanwhile, Tori are on a date – enjoying their new public relationship. But when Kat enters, Tori is distracted, and Nate clocks something’s up. Kat approaches Justin and he warns her to stop hassling them. Kat offers him the chance to be honest, and Justin covers that he has. Kat’s not buying it when she gets a phone call from Decker. Panicked Justin and Tori hope this means Decker is shutting her down. They just want this to be over…

An intrigued Kat meets Decker in an empty shipyard. He warns her to walk away, but Kat won’t be intimidated. She’s going to keep digging until she gets to the bottom of whatever the Morgans’ are hiding. He tells her that her questions are putting their lives in danger, and wants to know who she’s talked to. Kat guesses they’re in witness protection. Decker doesn’t answer – pressing that she reveal who she’s spoken to. Kat reveals only members of the police force. Decker’s dismayed reaction tells her that cops are involved. He tells her she’s compromised him, the Morgans and herself. She has a pass to get out of this now – she should take it. Despite the dangers, Kat says she’s in this now. He needs to trust her. Decker’s forced to admit that it’s an inside job. He tries to warn Kat not to trust anyone but before he can press his point home, shots ring out. A car speeds away and before Kat can work out what’s happening, Decker slumps to the ground. He’s been shot.
