Andy throws a duffel bag stuffed with cash into his boot. He’s been working for Simmo around the clock, and he’s on edge. Matt attempts to check how Andy is holding up, he’s been pretty stressed lately, but Andy encourages him to take the day off. Despite his vow to Josh last week, he’s clearly putting some kind of escape plan into place. At this stage, however, it’s unclear what it actually is. When Andy later meets Simmo, he checks in on a contact Simmo was setting up. But Simmo is vague and later reveals that the contact, is demanding more money. While Andy’s got the cash he made working for Simmo, it’s not nearly enough. Then Simmo, taking advantage of this opportunity, makes Andy a dangerous offer. Steal a luxury car and he’ll have enough to pay this guy. Andy feels he has little choice but to go along with it. We later see him stealing the car – in daylight – clearly risking it all. He takes it to Simmo, who confirms everything is in place – Beau will be ready. But for what it’s worth, Simmo reckons Andy’s plan is crazy. Andy then goes to Josh, who’s waiting at Summer Bay Police to be transported to his sentencing hearing. Josh is stunned to learn of the plan… The question remains, however – is Josh desperate enough to go along with it?

With Josh’s sentencing hearing tomorrow, Evelyn’s struggling. She confides in Matt her fragile state of mind, prompting him to make a heartfelt plea to Josh. For Evelyn’s sake, Josh needs to allow her to visit. Josh seems unmoved – he’s facing 25 years, he can barely get his head around it. Not seeing her is better for both of them. But later when Evelyn turn up to the police station, Josh apologises, confessing that he thought by keeping her away he could lessen the pain. How wrong he was. They reminisce about their first kiss- Josh declares it the best day of his life. They share an emotional farewell, both painfully aware this could be the last time they sit across from each other in a room – rather than a prison visiting area.

Billie, still feeling blindsided herself, reassures her that the situation is temporary – only until VJ and Leah sort out their issues. But VJ thinks that’s never going to happen. Meanwhile, Leah’s initial response to VJ’s decision is one of outrage. Alf tries to assure her that VJ will come to his senses when he realises how good he has it at home, but when Zac steps up to go try and talk to VJ, it becomes clear that VJ was struggling with all of the craziness at home. Phoebe reluctantly allows VJ to stay if he can pull is weight. Leah’s outrage turns to sadness as she morns her little boy finally moving out of home – she’s just not ready.
After dinner, Phoebe picks up on Billie’s attitude, and takes her aside – it’s all feeling a bit too soon for Billie. VJ moving out on account of a fight with his mother feels so “seventeen.” When she brings up her concerns to VJ, he’s determined to make it work, he loves her!

She warns Billie that there’ll be more than enough drama when the baby comes. She’s going to want Leah in her corner. This cements Billie’s doubts in her own mind. She knows she and VJ aren’t ready to live together. She then goes to Leah, promising to find a way to bring VJ home. The only catch is –VJ needs to realise it for himself.
