Extended Summary

Maddy apologises to Matt for getting upset. Roo brings Alf home, who won’t admit there’s anything wrong with him. Alf loses it with Roo and Maddy for treating him like an invalid. Roo is really concerned and tries to talk to Alf who doesn’t want to hear it but she persists, saying that the panic attacks aren’t good for his heart. Roo tells Irene how difficult Alf is being. Irene tries to give Roo the night off but she says she needs the distraction. Irene goes to see Alf herself but he takes offence to her well meant intentions and loses his temper with her. Roo comforts Irene who is really upset by how Alf spoke to her. Later Alf sits alone, with a photo of Aylsa, wondering what’s wrong with him.

Evie asks Maddy how Alf is, who tells Evie and Irene that he’s home. Maddy says that Matt was great, Evie is left wondering if there’s more to it. Evie finds Matt and asks him about it but he just says Maddy’s nicer than he thought. Evie speculates that it’s because she’s been ill. Evie then goes and babbles to Josh about how much Matt and Maddy like each other and that they should get together. Josh isn’t convinced but Evie isn’t deterred and insists that they invite Maddy and Matt round for a cosy movie night. Evie tells Josh how the evening has to go, planning where Maddy and Matt have to sit to make it as intimate as possible, taking the armchairs themselves and forcing Matt and Maddy to sit on the sofa together. And to top it all off, they’re going to watch a romcom… After the movie Evie tries to hint at the romantic storyline being like real life but Maddy and Matt disagree with her every point. Evie tries one last ditch attempt at encouraging Maddy and Matt together, suggesting that they go and look at the moon on their way home but they leave laughing saying it’s in the opposite direction. Evie is left still hoping something might happen with them on the way home.

Kyle and Billie are in bed, Kyle admits he’s glad she moved in. When he goes to get breakfast she follows him wearing only underwear – a shocked Kyle tells her to put something on but too late, Ash comes into the house looking for her. Billie stays out of sight while Kyle makes the excuse that she’s in the shower, then when Ash asks if there’s any food, heading towards the kitchen where Billie is hiding Kyle tells him they don’t have any but that Ricky does, so Ash heads to the flat. Billie makes a dash for it and reappears dressed and innocent. Ash tries to persuade her to go surfing with him but she says she’s going to hang out at the house. Kyle isn’t happy, he doesn’t want Ash to find out about them. Kyle tells Billie that he has to go to work, but then goes and offers to cover for Ash, giving him a night off instead. Ash thanks Kyle for letting Billie stay which makes things even more awkward. Billie meets Ash who gives away that Kyle voluntarily covered his shift, and is blissfully unaware and happy that they can have some sibling bonding time. She acts cool but chooses to go to Angelo’s… Kyle is surprised to see Ash and Billie arrive. Billie is dropping huge hints to Kyle but he’s not up for it. The next morning Billie climbs into Kyle’s bed, telling him that she waited up for him. Kyle tells her that they can’t do this anymore, he isn’t in the right place to have a girlfriend, he thought it was just a bit of fun. She says she can do fun and climbs on top of him, just as Ash arrives and see them. He punches the wall and shouts at Kyle… Is this going to be a showdown?
