Extended Summary

A freshly single Roman decides a boys day out on the Blaxland with Miles, Tony and Jack is just what they need. As they head off, Alf bets they won’t catch a single fish. It’s a good day, and a chance for the blokes to talk about their various problems, but none of them catch any fish.

Not wanting to lose Alf’s bet, Miles gets an idea; he’ll have Jai buy a fresh fish, and Alf will be none the wiser. But when Jai doesn’t answer his phone, Roman suggests he call Kirsty. All seems to go according to plan, and they’re looking forward to proving Alf wrong, except for one slight hitch; they’ve bought a fish only found in New Zealand.

Leah has decided it’s time to give up on her hopes of ever getting together with Miles, and start making some apologies, starting with Kirsty. Leah invites her to a reconciliatory lunch with her and Rachel. When Bridget hears, she invites herself along as well. At lunch, Bridget more than earns her invitation, easily cooling the ice between Leah and Kirsty. As the group discuss possible uses for Leah’s money, Bridget asks to see a photo of Dan, and whilst looking at the picture in Leah’s wallet, deftly pockets her driver’s license. Afterwards, Bridget makes a conspiratorial call, she needs a service urgently, and begins listing Leah’s details. Could she be planning to steal Leah’s identity?

After a fun day out on the boat with the guys, Tony gets home to receive some wonderful news. Rachel is finally pregnant.

Having always assumed that, by her actions, Kirsty had chosen Kane over him, Miles is taken aback to have learned the true depths of her feelings for him. Only adding to his confusion, Kirsty drops a letter from Kane, and picking it up, he sees it was sent yesterday. She’s still in contact with her husband. When he finally hands back the letter, unread, she tells him it’s Kane’s goodbye letter, and that she told him about she and Miles. She promised him complete honesty, and she plans to honour that promise. Realising that he still loves her, he admits to hearing her conversation with Leah. Kirsty tries to explain, until Miles silences her with a kiss.
