Extended Summary
After being run off the road, Belle is rushed to emergency, with Irene, Angelo and Aden all worried about her. And while she lies unconscious, Murray arrives at the crash site, telling police he was asked by Belle to retrieve some important documents from her car. It turns out Belle isn’t seriously hurt, but she’ll have to remain in hospital for a few days.
Belle can’t remember anything specifically, she knows instinctively she was run off the road, but tests on her car reveal no evidence of another car involved, and the police don’t believe her. Worse, when Angelo goes looking for the documents, Murray claims they were missing when he got there.
Meanwhile, Aden is getting frustrated by the secrecy of his affair with Belle, he can’t even visit her in hospital without arousing suspicion. Belle pleads with him to be patient, she can’t break up with Angelo yet, she’ll need him onside when she’s ready to take her findings to the police. But her delay is hurting Aden and she’s feeling worse and worse for deceiving Angelo as he continues to show support for her while she’s in hospital. How much longer can she keep this up?
Natalie’s already causing havoc, and she’s planning to stay for another week. Charlie’s not pleased to have Roman’s ex staying with him, especially one so antagonistic towards her. And Aden’s having enough trouble studying while Belle’s in hospital without Natalie bothering him. Nicole’s just waiting to see how Natalie plans to make things up to her, and she’s not surprised when her mother buys her a new dress.
Nicole agrees to a girls night out with Natalie, it actually seems to be going well, until her mother ditches her to spend the night dancing with a man she’s just met. And then, too drunk to drive them home, she insists Nicole take the wheel, despite not having a license. Feeling she has little choice, Nicole has only just rounded the corner when she’s pulled up by Charlie and Angelo.
