Outrage spreads over Belle’s article about Sally. Leah receives a call from America about Dan. Is it the end for Belle and Drew? A Summer Bay favourite leaves town.

Extended Summary
On the release of Belle’s article those who know Sally are outraged. Furious with what has happened Drew gives Gavin a piece of his mind and tells him Belle quits. Belle, however, has a very different thought on the matter and another fight erupts between the two ending with Drew storming off. Belle can’t understand how Gavin would put her in such a position but he claims her did what he had to do to make the story sell. The darker side of journalism continues to become clearer to Belle.
Drew’s still fuming that Belle seemingly sided with Gavin instead of himself when he runs into Bartlett; the person who had started this whole situation. Unable to restrain his feelings he tells Bartlett what he thinks and once again, quits school. This is the tip of the iceberg and he decides he’s leaving Summer Bay. Leah and Jazz try to talk some sense into him and eventually convince him to sleep on it.
Meanwhile, Leah has her own problems to deal with; having received a phone call from a man whose child was at the camp in America with Dan. He’s coming to Australia and has something important to tell Leah. What could it be?
Belle is furious when she finds out that Drew has quit school. She confronts him and they both tell each other what they well and truly think of the other. A nasty fight breaks out and escalates till the revelation; they hate each other. It’s over for Belle and Drew. Leah once again tries to calm Drew down but nothing she says changes anything; he leaves Summer Bay.
