Sally helps a friend overcome their grief in the most unexpected way. Time is running out for Sam, as Johnny’s threats intensify.

Extended Summary
Sam is horrified to discover Johnny lurking near Matilda, who’s asleep on the lounge – his malicious intentions clear. Sam rounds on him, warning him to lay low or their plans will completely unravel.
Sally, who remains weak in her hospital bed, struggles to process the devastating news she’s just received about Dan’s death. Going against Rachel and Pippa’s wishes for Sally to stay in bed, Sally insists she must see Leah. She saw with Tom, during her near death experience, that she would be the one to bring Leah comfort.
Sally arrives to find Leah numb with grief. Leah blames herself for Dan’s death – that in some way, her misfortunes were punishment for marrying Dan when Vinnie was still alive. Sally braces herself as she begins to tell Leah about her near death experience with Tom and her belief that Dan had to die if she was to live. Leah stares at her in stunned silence. Sally is relieved Leah believes her but then Leah tells her it means the world to her that Sally would make up such a strange story to help her. Suddenly, Leah realises her own self-blame seems ridiculous. Leah embraces Sally. Sally is taken aback by the irony – she has helped Leah, but not in the way she could have predicted.
Sam returns to the annexe to tell Johnny there’s no point for him to stay in town. Sally will be out of hospital in a couple of days and Pippa’s taking her to the city until he’s caught. Johnny insists he’s not going anywhere. He’s got a couple of days left to get to her in hospital. He doesn’t care what happens and demands that Sam help him do it. The terrible realisation hits Sam, she’s just been given a deadline…trying to control her panic she tries to reason with Johnny. Sam insists she won’t help him but Johnny bears down on her, insisting it’s time he taught her a lesson. Terrified, Sam tries to break free from his hold…
Feeling ragged and beaten, Sam returns to the house. Now the initial shock is wearing off, she begins to re-live what’s just happened. Johnny’s threats are clear: he’ll attack her again or he can hurt her son but either way she knows she has no choice but to give into Johnny’s demands to help him get to Sally.
